My vote is Datsyuk, slickest guy since Gretzky. On defence I am in awe of Karlsson and love watching PK Subban round his net with the puck and pull away, thundering body checks and an absolute cannon from the point.
Nobody in the game today can dangle like Pavel Datsyuk. |

Datsyuk first, then Jagr, Forsberg and Lidstrom get the nod for me. EKarlsson when 100% was really something else to watch, I hope he isn't hindered long term. But I'm most likely a younger generation.
I could imagine Lemieux, Gretsky and Orr were the cream of the crop in their time.h |

Getting to see Giroux and Crosby...both against each other and in general...pretty great.
If I could turn back time, I would love to see Tim Kerr play as a healthy player one more time...or Eric Lindros |

The thing I like about him is he's the one superstar offensive player who excels at the other end of the ice.... |

Martin Brodeur guys been amazing me for about two decades now. No other goalie is as fun to watch. Whether it be a beautiful glove/kick save or a poke check, or just him sending sauce better then all our defensemen. Been spoiled watching him for so long. |

I don't understand how all the LA Kings' fans talk about past guys and don't mention Luc???
For me, hands down it's Mario. You would just hold your breath anytime he had the puck, because you knew you had a good chance of seeing something amazing. |

Hasek was fun to watch, only because he was so unorthodox. You wouldn't want your kid to emulate his game. |

Past players I haven't seen, but it would have been a privilege. |

Datsyuk is #1 for me for current players. The things he can do are simply incredible and I think seasoned hockey fans can really appreciate his overall game. There are so many "subtle" things that he does that the casual hockey fan may miss because they're that fast and that good. He constantly shocks me when I watch him...
Peter Forsberg was my fav player to watch when he was healthy and in his prime. Similar to Datsyuk in that he would make plays that would simply leave my mouth hanging open and scratching my head. And he played tough, which I love.
...Biased pick...When Kopitar is on his game...he's also a real pleasure to watch. Strong on the puck, great vision and a hockey sense that's simply elite.

Crosby was a sight to see when he first entered the league because he would go 110% for every shift. Nowadays he has learned to conserve his energy a little better (even though he is still very explosive in offensive rushes). For me that was the best individual hockey I'd watched because every time he was on the ice he was flying around. Now you see him gliding around a bit more. |
