1) His point totals have gone up every year he's been in the league.
2) He provides much more than points.
3) You still think 5 Mill = star player. It did 3 years ago. Now, with Grabo making 5, Zajac making 6, I could go on, Tyler Bozak will be a good signing at $5 Million. He's also the best FA centre available by a mile.
4) Like I said, he's crazy underrated and I don't think I'm going to change your mind because it seems like you just picked a side randomly and cheery picked some terrible articles to back it up. Bozak is good and I'll take the word of professional scouts any day since they actually get paid to watch hockey and they are smart enough to know that points don't mean sh !t when scoring them isnt your job.

I'm with you all the way except that. I think Bozie is good too, I'm on your side. Underrated as well. But not worth 5M. I'd say 4, but I would sign him back for 4.25M or less only because I strongly think if we resign him, we sign his best buddy Kessel for cheaper.
Overpay a bit on bozak to get a better deal on the more important player Kessel and it all balances out. At least that's how I see it.

Thats how bad he is Hes a 3rd line center tops, hes being overrated because hes playing with kessel, jvr, lupul. Play him on the 3rd line he wont even get near his measly 40+ point season productions.

At least you know a guy like pavelski will show up with his limited minutes. A guy like kadri showed up playing on the 3rd line for most of the shortened season, etc... so how is bozak worth 4M+ again? bro i win faceoffs, congratulations

Grabo will be staying - he will get back to form - everybody jumping to scenarios after 1/2 a year under a new coach - leafs have a lot to do if they want to make the playoffs again next year.

Anything under 5 is a discount?! We need to stop using Grabo's contract as the comparison - everybody knew it was a bad contract the moment it was announced. The Leafs had nobody and Burke was desperate. They're in a better position this offseason.

Last summer Lupul locked in for 5.25 per year ....and he's a much better player than Bozak. On the open market he might fetch 4 x 4.5ish from some team like Florida. I'd only resign him if I didn't have a better option/plan and he signs for something less than 4 per year.

I dont think Nonis is that stupid, Burke on the other hand was kind of lame at signing contracts

1. for a player getting 1st line minutes they should, but hes producing 3rd line numbers with those minutes.

2. Faceoffs are nice, the leafs were beating the bruins despite winning maybe 40% of them, closer to 30% in game 7. a 3rd line player who can win 52% of the faceoffs can be had for much much less

3.He may be good value at 1.5, at 4+ he is negative value

4. I think he is rated just fine


Edit: and I didnt pick a side randomly, I have said the same for 3 years. I like him as a #3 option not #1..and at 1.5 not 5million.

Also please provide some articles showing your scouts opinions of Bozak to prove your side.
