Really, cause Gardiner just showed me that he can be an allstar. Find two guys with grit who are good in the D zone to play with him and Dion , keep Franson and Frasor as your bottom pair, good to go.

The first line as it is, will not take you to the next level. They need a true number 1 center, not a 2b/3rd line center pretending to be a number 1.

Lets settle this for ever. The "true number one centre" is a myth. And a ridiculous one. If you have say a super star centre, like Tavares, Sundin, Crosby, etc. then you can put him with just about any wingers and have a great line.

If you have two star wingers what you need is a defensivly responsible centre who can get them the puck and cover his man and win faceoffs. I might add its a bonus if, as Bozak is, he is a great penalty killer.

The "true number one centre" is b.s because you really need your first line to have 2 scorers and a responsible guy. Doesnt exactly matter what the combo is.

Also, if you don't draft one of those centres, you probably don't get to have one, since there are under 10 in the whole league.

Obviously youre dumber fans only care about points, but what Bozak brings to the team is just as important when you already have guys whose points wont increase no matter who their centre is.

Dozzer, I'll answer your question from the other thread about why I think Bozak brings more to the team than Grabo. He has demonstrated better chemistry with the wingers in the top 6 (esp. Kessel, JVR, Lupul) than Grabo; he is better on faceoffs and takes every key faceoff; he plays regularly on both special teams units; he clearly was Carlyle's go-to guy this year at centre in terms of ice time stats. The biggest reason, imo, is the chemistry element; Grabo has really only seemed to 'click' on this team playing with Kulemin and Macca, while Bozak has proven himself to be an overall more versatile hockey player.
