If you're going to hate on someone, hate on Malkin- he is solely to blame for that goal. That Michalek pass went through 3 Pittsburgh bodies, and Malkin stepped off of his post at LW, leaving his man wide open. - Jordo
he is culprit number one for lack of a defensive awareness. but then again, if they want to play a passive defensive style there for the last thirty seconds, he should not be out there. |

hell of a seam pass and redirection, ill give you that. however, it still should not have been even feasible given the circumstances. christ, even a semblance of back checking or defensive awareness could have made up for the fact that they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing out there - stayinthefnnet
Maybe, but I don't think that's on Bylsma. Hard to imagine your players aren't focused with a PP and 1:45 left to go- especially when those players are all arguably your top players at their respective positions. They probably underestimated Ottawa's ability to close.
Bet they don't do that again. |

It was on Bylsma. He should've never had a PP unit out there (if the intention was to protect the lead). Letang/Martin were fine...but would've liked to see the normal pairing of Orpik/Martin along with Dupuis/Sutter/Cooke |

certainly the players poop all over themselves. however, what falls on the coach is the mismatch of what the intended style of play was supposed to be and the player that were put out there. if you wanted to attack, put that group out there. if you wanted to play prevent, put in a different crew. still doesnt excuse the severe retardation by the guys on the ice, but still. there is blame to be placed on danny b |

Wow, no respect. It's not like Pittsburgh pulled Vokoun and scored on their own net. We can agree that Pitts made some bad plays at the end of the game, but give your opponent a little more respect than that, get off your pedestal.
Both goalies stood on their heads, a few bounces either way and this game never gets to OT, or double OT- and that can be said for both sides.
Just be happy we get to see more games between these two- so far they've been great. - Jordo
It's not about disrespect. We just feel if they would've ran their PP then it's 3-0. It was a bad plan and you guys are offended because we believe it would be 3-0 if not for it. |

Yeah man. I give Ottawa tons of respect. You just don't give up a shorty EVER in the last minute. To be in that position Ottawa had to play great and they did. |

I heard Vitale and Jokinen were working on the lines today. I hope they play next game. We need them! |

Rags are toast. Refs still didn't give the visiting team a PP at MSG, but the Bruins didn't need one. |

Gutless performance from the rags tonight. Boston putting them to sleep pretty easily in this series. Funny how they're getting good contributions from young players but disco doesn't dare trust Despres. |

Rags really limited offensively (partially self-inflicted by their knucklehead coach), not much ability to expose Boston's injuries on the back end. Agree that Depres should probably be playing for Pens, though. |

How much is he stealing from the Rags with that contract? He hasn't been the answer in NY. |

someone explain it to me. please. someone do it.
how an entire message board can see the problems, but the coach refuses to fix it is just unbelievable. even torts isn't this stubborn or arrogant. truly unbelievable that this man will cost us a Cup. |

It's certainly on Bylsma. His fault we lost due to an idiotic mistake.

I will tell you what, Boston's fourth line is the best in the business and its not close. That said, the Rags suck. Nash, Richards an absolute zero in the play-offs. |

Hard to believe B.Richards is done. He's a great player...just need to get away from Tortorella. Btw, the Rags better run away from him, FAST |

It's odd that he put up good numbers under Torts in Tampa Bay, and was the leader of a Cup winning team (and Conn Smyth winner).
Obviously Torts' system has changed greatly from the "safe is death" days, but you'd think Richards would at least look like an NHL player.
Torts has taken any and all creativity out of his players. Their whole approach is play defense, block shots, and hope to get a goal on a 3 on 2 coming back. Players who play a straight, north/south type game do ok, but anyone who wants to create is doomed. |

Boston is playing great hockey. If we get through Ottawa, this team better get their sh*t together quickly. All the mental errors and poor personnel decisions won't fly against them. |

You won't create 3 on 2's when all of your players are sagged down low. They can't get up ice quick enough and will never generate odd man rushes. Further damning them is the fact that the Bruins are one of the best teams at backchecking through the neutral zone and limiting odd man rushes as it is. Rangers system couldn't be more doomed to fail against the Bruins if they tried. |
