they are just bad at it.. they dont have the right personnel on the back end.
- Dozzer

Agreed. Which is why it was so baffling seeing them do it. Every chance they got in the last 10 mins, they tried to pin against hte boards and run the clock. that's not their game, that plays right into Boston's hands. The Leafs should have been trying to advance the puck, get it out of your zone. Don't sit back and try not to break.

The proposal was stastny for kulemin+ gunner and dump grabo for nothing.

I wouldn’t do that either. When I say I’d like to see STastny around, it’s ALONG with Grabovski, and if possible, even Bozak. Not sure who I’d trade, but as I’ve said, I don’t think it would cost much. Gunnarson and Biggs or something like that? I don’t know, but I think Stastny doesn’t command a high price (if he’s even traded, which I don’t think he will be). Not sure if salary cap becomes an issue, if so, trade off JML for scraps to deal with it, or something like that. Hell, give em to Colorado if they want him. We have enough D around, and in the system, that JML is quite expendable.

It's not "impatience" that has me choosing Bozak over Grabo. I simply prefer Bozak to Grabo and think he brings more to the team.

Surprised the Blades won, the others I can understand.
- AdamFrench

The Moose were flat. They played the Blades game, instaed of playing their game, next time should be different.

only canadian team left. and they have fought and battles hard all year.. losing their starter for half the season, their top D and top C for the majority of the season.

good on them honestly.

I was a huge fan of LA from the Gretzky days, liked Boston from the Cam Neely days. Chi was also a favourite from my childhood. Don’t mind Pit. Can’t stand Ottawa, never liked Detroit. The Rags don’t bother me, but I don’t care. San Jose, same thing. So, my preferences for round 2 pretty much took care of themselves.

Ottawa, coach is from next town. I am good friends with his brother in law. And, Pens if they get by Ottawa. Local first.

oh well ok..

yes.. agree 100%

stastny does not equal all 3 of those guys at all.

but he is better than bozak.. and personally i'd rather pay statsny 6million for a couple years than bozak 4.5 for 5

- Dozzer

This, without question. Still don't think we're getting him though; COL will hang on till next year, probably move him at the trade deadline. We have nothing right now that makes them better and doesn't make us worse short or mid-term.
