Bozak makes sense on third line until you remember he'll be asking for 1st-2nd line money.we can find a cheaper solution.

Those two lines are really interchangeable in my opinion.

I'm sure if Bozak asks for first line money they'll let him walk, if he doesn't and say gets 3.5, then sure why not. It's easier to acquire a 3rd line center, and we already have one in a sense in McClement. Which leaves room for options. Say have some call ups try and stick to the team again this year?

O'Byrne is a righty, I think. So that could work with Gunner.

People seem so happy to accept a 6.6 million version of Bozak in Stastny for years and call him a number one center. I mention Weiss whose a consistent player on a bad team who does everything Bozak does but better and people throw their arms in the air. I don't understand most Leaf fans.

I'd rather get a top dman for the a middling cost and a salary dump than a 1st +. Booth/Weiss had chemistry together, and while Booth I can agree is overrated, that pairing should work out and add in a superior offensive line mate, those two could really realize a higher level of play.

Why? Not the first guy we've seen have his career derailed by injuries.

Personally I would not be opposed to picking up Stalberg if he's still a UFA. He brings some size and drive, already knows the team, and his speed would be awesome on the third line, with him having the ability to fill in on the second as needed.

I'm not sure what the love-in with 6.6M Statsny is... don't see much upside there over either Grabovski or Bozak. And how much is Statsny going to be looking for when its time to resign at the end of 2014... not Bozak or Grabo money that's for sure.

Everything everyone criticizes Bozak and Grabo for Statsny has as well... not very big, and in his case declining stats.

Move Grabo, or if necssary buy him out. Move Liles, of if necessary buy him out. Komisarek is a definite goner one way or the other.

Sign Clarkson, or Clowe or Horton.
Sign Boyd Gordon or Matt Hendricks
Move Gunnarson, and perhaps him in combination with Grabo for a minute munching more robust D man.

Leave a bit of cap room in case someone attractive is bought out by other teams (no I don't mean Luongo).
