Their definition of a troll is someone who points out any negatives of their team/players. If you have the temerity to lift their gold and black glasses for even a second they label you a troll. Oh well.
- TheRat14

My definition of a troll is someone (like you) who only shows up when the Pens lose to poke the angry bears.

If Neil is hurt it's a huge boost for the Pens. I fit think I could have less respect for Matt Cooke but getting his stick close to Karlssons eyes like that to me is a suspension, Karma is going to get him and get him this series.
- tuna99

Really didn't think Neil was a big factor in any game so far....

Someone called Cooke would be called out to be suspended by someone To Funny. My god people look to blame him for anything.

My answer for the poll is simple-

The #1 PP is fine if you're going to treat it as a PP... but want 2 D men back there.

but if we're going to treat it as a PK then how about Sid, Cooke, Duper, Letang, and Orpik/ Eaton

That would have been my preferred forward line too.

Still can't believe they screwed it up when it could have been so easily prevented. Never thought that they would have given up that shorty in that crucial moment of the game. Shocking to say the least

it is kind of shocking. but then again its not. the way this team loses games is legitimately comical. you could literally almost predict it.

Good way to put it. I never feel any lead is safe anymore no matter the score or how much time is left, yet last night I thought the game was basically over after the penalty call even though I should have known better. I probably went through every emotion last night. Just got to back after them in Game 4. They are still in a good position and I have to keep thinking about that instead of the heartbreaking loss because it's just putting me in a grumpy mood.

A troll is someone who comes in and looks to stir the pot, which is EXACTLY what you are doing now.

How often does a team succeed at defending a 1-0 lead for a whole period? Of course, I wanted the Pens to win. However, I don't think they necessarily deserved to win. They played not to lose, and not playing to win.

If they were playing not to lose, you would think they would have put out a much more defensive power play line at the end. I still cant wrap my head around the line choice. It baffles me, and could ultimately cost us a series. I still am confident, but thats the exact type of thing that can take a team from the brink of elimination to springboarding them past us in the next few games. Nobody is panicing yet, but we're one road loss away from the sky falling on this board.

That being said...I expect to come home with a split in Ottawa and then 3 more opportunities to close them out.

I don't think they were guilty of that on this occasion. They have been before. Up until that point they had played a solid 1-0 third period.

They just had a collective brain fart all at the same moment.

It was Vokun's best game (better than his shutout), so you can't scratch him yet. And there's no need to send a signal that could be construed as a panic when you're ahead 2-1 and the only loss was in double overtime away.

i was a huge fleury guy for the longest time. still like him and think somewhere, even if not the pens, the guy deserves a shot. however, right now, im fully on the vokoun train. the guy has been spectacular. no not a ton of highlight saves, but he has made the saves that need to be made. it gives the entire team a boost. nothing about that loss falls on him.

This is why you stay with Vokoun and don't waiver.

im 100 percent on board with that now. and i was leery at first. right now, this team does not have the mental makeup to risk fleury.

We lost last night for 3 reasons.

1. Sens PK completely outplayed out PP. And most of that credit going to...

2. Anderson. The guy was a beast. Vokoun was as well, but Anderson came up just a little bit bigger. Vokoun should have had the W but was victimized by...

3. Our complete lack of killer instinct in the final minute when we had the wrong players on the ice.

And there you have it. Both teams are now showing up to this series. Im not worried the Pens will lose this series, but they should be. They need to go into every game hungry and willing to do whatever it takes. Play each game like a game 7.

I was all for Fleury playing this game and I couldn't have been more wrong. If he had the score would have been much more lopsided against us. I do think Jokinen needs to get in there in favor of Glass. Or even Bennett over Glass. I don't dislike Glass, but he has no place in these playoffs.

And lastly, to all the trolls, every player flops if they think they will give an advantage to their team. Do the Pens do it? Absolutely! Does your team? Damn right. Enough of the whining and crying. Go search Youtube and you'll find video of just about every player doing it at one point or another. You know why? Because it can give their team and advantage and they want to win. I'd do it.

exactly. they ALL do it. not saying its the greatest, but it happens. i wouldnt condemn karlsson for it any more than i would crosby. the star players get the calls. the annoying part really comes in when they become overly expectant about it. but it is what it is.

The beauty of this comment is you, like everyone else, doesn't consider the Senators a threat. Funny thing is that all season the Senators have just kept chugging along beating teams that are on paper supposedly superior but for whatever reason can't get the job done.

The Penguins offence has dried up over the past 100 minutes of hockey and their power play is sputtering. You may shrug if off as an anomaly but the truth is McLean and the Senators are making the proper adjustments as they play. Don't be surprised if the Sens win again on Wednesday now that McLean has an new offensive piece in Spezza back in the lineup.

Last night McLean was able to see how good Spezzas conditioning was an how he was able to play - rest assured that you'll see a better Spezza next game.

The Senators weren't one of the top home teams in the NHL for any reason other than McLean was able to use the advantage properly. He out coached Therrien badly in round 1 and you're now seeing how much better a coach he is than Bylsma.

This series will be a long one...

Bud you can write a book but if not for the worst coaching mistake in a long time your team is facing elimination in game 4. No disrespect but your team really lacks scoring and goaltending needs to be stellar every game for the Sens to have a chance. Even in OT the Pens we're the better team by far I thought. They just tried to play prevent Defense instead of running a PP.

I've been watching hockey since 85ish and I can say that was the worst way to lose a game that I can remember. The game was given away. Plain and simple!!! Now these Ottawa guys coming in here must not of seen the same game as me. What I saw was Anderson kept Ottawa in but the Pens controlled the play especially in OT
