Yea I guess you're right, boy would we be the most hated team or what.

Why would the Sabres trade for a guy they can get after he gets bought out (Briere?)
Darcy will not trade with other east coasters - RynoBull
I call BS on that Darcy thing. We also save the Phili owner from having to buy out a player and pay him to not be there.
BTW, with the new format next year, Phili does not matter to us one lick. The Sabres do not have to be better than Phili, they just have to be top 4 in their division. |

I don't know, they gave Richards and Carter away like a bunch of fools. - Buffalo--Sabres
You don´t follow much other then the sabres do you?
Brayden Schenn was the highest ranking prospect at the time of that trade. Wayne Simmonds is a great addition. Philly also got Courterier back in the Carter trade which I would not even do straight up now.

Top 3 in each division and the next best 2 teams make it last I heard. |

So he dialed it back this year, big deal. He's still a big forward who can throw hits and chip in offensively. It's very tough to maintain a level of toughness whilst being effective offensively. That's what Foligno struggled with so much this year the same way lucid did. |

Oh so Philly went on to win the cup and are pushing to go back to back then and Richards an Carter are now on a LA team that did not even sniff the playoffs this year. Or do I have that backwards? |

Even with that, still remains the same pretty much. Phili matters very little in terms of what Buffalo does. |

Hmm, interesting but pretty sure Philly didn´t trade Carter to LA Kings.....but hey why include facts....

So you are assuming that Darcy will change his player management strategy? He will fleece some west coast team, like he always does.
I don't fear Miller, where ever he plays. But I think Darcy does. If he trades Miller and he performs at a high level on a team we have to play more than twice...its on him. I call it reputation risk mitigation |

Carter had 26 goals this season in 48 games. He has 9 points in the playoffs so far. Philly didn't make the playoffs. What planet are you on? And no I never watch the Sabres. |

Have you ever made a half decent comment without trying to take stab at other posters? Dial your ego complex back a notch and just get to your point.
And Schenn was not the highest rated prospect at that time. Granlund, Nugent-Hopkins and Johansen were ranked ahead of him by hockey prospectus |

Vanek standing in front of the net on Detroit's pp is what would be ridiculous. - dadeadhead
I'd want Abdelkader back for him, plus prospects & picks
I really like Helm too, but his back issues make me nervous
Those are two very "Ott-like" players that will help change the attitude of this team and play 100% every night... Can always use more guys like that
What about something like Vanek & Pysyk to Nashville for Weber? |

I was too young at the time to know what was expected of stafford but I can see the point you're trying to make and I agree to an extent. But given his age, I'm not ready to give up on him just yet. |

Go read (reed) genius. I said they parted with Richards and Carter easily. Which they did. I never said to whom. |
|
|

So Carter went to Columbus for Courtier, Voracek and 3rd rnd pick...your right. They gave Carter away to the Kings |
