Depends on what they do with the draft pick. - dadeadhead
The Carter trade and it backfiring was also the catalyst that drove Nash out of town. That whole ordeal was a mess |

I LOVE Barkov...
I think he'll be better than both Drouin and MacKinnon...
But to give ALL that up for him?
No freaking way! - jdfitz77
really? Don't get me wrong Barkov is outstanding but he doesn't have that game changer ability that Mackinnon has or the offensive domination that Drouin does. |

some guy said this....
Philly gave away Carter and Richards. I disagreed. Then some guys were like LA won those trades they won the cup then I said like winning trades had nothing to do with winning cups, then people started saying Carter is more valuable then Courturier, Voracek and a 3rd because he has a ring. |

This is more interesting than any other day. 5 or so people having a real hockey discussion and 1 dbag trying to e-peen over everyone else with excessive use of the headslap emoticon - robz228
They are all amusing...just some, like you said, are hockey related and not just female dog sessions. |

Id like to see Vanek on the Flyers pair him with Giroux and whoever would be a pretty nice line
Maybe get Hartnell and a 1st? If we throw a 2nd to make it work id still do it then you can take a run at guys like
Shinkaruk Erne Horvat or even Rychel |

They got a 1st for that as well along with purging themselves of Howson players.
They are on the right track now with Jarmo. |

100% agree for the first time in team history they are facing the right direction. Just wish they had one closer to the top. |

Hey, you asked who would "win" that trade? My answer is that I would rather be Boston.
Championships>>>>>everything else. |

They are lookin decent. I wouldn't be suprised if they have a disappointing year next year though. Not sold on a repeat year for BOB |

I've been checking into him a lot bc I was intrigued at the possibility of having him & Armia play together bc they're both from Finland
The guy is described as a "power forward" with "playmaking ability of a long lost Sedin"
He scored more goals than Armia in the Finish professional league...
Only one of about 12 guys to score over 20goals, and he was the youngest guy in the league
He has more upside than ANYONE in the draft not named Jones,
And i think he is prob more likely to reach his ceiling than any other player
U might see MacKinnon or Drouin out score him,
But he'll still be a ppg guy
And with the physical net presence he provides,
I think he'll be a better all-around guy
Here's one scouting report I found on him if you're interested:

To LA, he absolutely is. He won them a cup. That's a championship mentality, something we don't have, which is why we have zero. |

I would absolutely love having him here but ive said this in the past I dont see Nashville passing on him (trading out) as he fits their team perfectly. There are some other pretyt good power forwards in the draft Id try gettting more mid teen picks. This is where I like a deal with NJ or Filty |

I think that's where I disagree. Mackinnon not only has that it factor and talent, he's got the grit and defense to go with it. The thing with Barkov is he comes off as a physical dynamic presence but a lot of these europeans have difficulties bringing that game consistently at the NHL level.

I said in a package of some sort. Prospect(s) or players would be coming back our way. Its going to take more than Vanek for #4 overall. They need a top center, and more scoring depth. I would target Ryan Ellis, Mattias Ekholm, and possibly Craig Smith as pieces coming back. |
