Damn the NHL for not suspending a player for yelling at a ref seconds after he lost a playoff game!!! Conspiracy! They NEED to get ratings because there are SOOO many people outside of the state of California that aren't going to watch this series any longer! They'd lose MILLIONS in tv revenue even though their tv deal is signed through 2021!!!

Just curious, how old are you? Do grown men really think like this in the US?

Says the guy trolling the Sharks blog...I was halfway being sarcastic...I understand that it doesn't always come across in black and white...but then again, I don't care if you get it, you're clearly not too bright. No doubt as a Sharks fan, getting rid of your only player would be awesome!!!...but taking a game misconduct like that just once doesn't warrant a suspension anyway, it takes at least two. First one is usually just a fine of like $200 or something...which is obviously a joke to a pro hockey player "let me get my wallet". My sarcasm was more aimed at bringing into relief that they won't even charge Quick $200, yet they made rather excessive penalties to Torres and DW.

Thanks for assuming too much. I am well aware that Quick is part of the team...I was actually going to put a line in about that, but I figured we were all adults here and understood what I meant. Quick...while a part of your team....right now is practically the ONLY part of your team worth anything. I was only pointing out that your team has a HUGE Achilles heal problem....if Quick goes, there is NOTHING left for your team right now, they'd seriously have to get it together....but thanks again for glossing over what I wrote and choosing your own argument to a comment I didn't make

I think what King of Kings is trying to say here, for you mature adults, is that Quick is great, but Quick is great because he has a good defensive team around him. Even he realizes this and has dodged any compliments, redirecting them to his teammates. Our players sacrifice a lot of offense to make sure that Quick can see shots clearly and carried him through the regular season when he wasn't playing so well. Sometimes certain players look better than others but it takes a team to win. Something your Sharks ovbiously haven't figured out yet. One player does not get you this far, not disagreeing with you that he is our best player at the moment. But one player will never win a playoff series. If you believe this you should probably stick to watching Golf or Tennis with your mature adult analysis.

Bottom line: Despite having the series lead...you're scared...that's why you're on the Sharks blog right now. You KNOW the Sharks are playing like the better team overall...TRUE Quick is on your team, and he's holding you in this series, but he's IT...that's why you're scared...Quick goes, Kings go. When Sharks fans feel like they were cheated on a call...whether legit or not...it's ok for them to complain HERE ON A SHARKS BLOG. True I still think the delay of game call on Vlasic was a bad call as in some angles you can see it deflect off of Carter, but I understand that at full speed and on the ice it's a much harder call to make...it sucks it went against us, but that's hockey...the difference is that KINGS fans are the ones that are STILL whining about it...Sharks fans have moved on with the security of knowing we have the ability to be the far better team. What's done is done Game four is tomorrow.

As a matter a fact, if you remove Nemmi and Quick, we'd have a BETTER shot of winning as Bernier is a much better back up.

I guess my point for all of the "We pounded Quick with shots, we should have won" theories is that I don't think many teams who are not defensive teams really understand the Kings system. Fans of offensive teams tend to think "Because our plays looked a little flashier and we outshot them, we should have won! They just won because of luck/goalie/ref etc etc"
Reference: Every team we played against last year in the playoffs. I think we were outshot for most of the games but I don't have the stats at hand. I could be wrong. But it seems that way for most of the games.

Yes you guys had some quality chances. So did we. Both teams buried some, both teams missed some. That is hockey.

The Kings have a way of bending but not breaking. Sure you had some quality chances and because we have a top notch keeper you didn't get the goal. I feel the same way about some of the chances on Niemi which we've had more than a few. (Remember it's about quality not quantity right?) But that doesn't discredit the fact that you guys didn't get any easy ones either which is in great credit to our defense, not Quick. I feel every goal that was scored in this series was earned and at this moment we have a couple more than you guys. That's the difference to me. Not someone's goalie.

I don't know what other kind of facts you want that you feel you are supplying. Niemi has been good, Thorton so so, Boyle had a good hit but also gave us a goal, Couture has been sub-par in my opinion with the exeption of the goal of course. I'm sure you disagree. Just like I disagree that some of our other players have contributed in very important ways that you don't see because you are a fan of an offensive team and are looking for the same qualities in our team as you are looking for in yours. You're not going to see the same flashy crap on the Kings that you see in the Sharks. But it seems to work more times than not for us.
