You are right to do so; no need in addressing hypothetical offseason scenarios during the playoffs.
This series has barely begun. - MidnightMarauder
That's pretty optimistic, Marauder. The Rangers lose tonight and the series is done.
But, I agree with everything else. |

His response will be "if I am worried about saving my own hide, I'm not focusing on the rights things, and right now, I have a playoff series to focus on." - Pete V
Wow that is just about spot on I think.

will that be followed by Richards getting amnestied? As I have said repeatedly, I will address both topics after, and only after, the season ends, not now. - airjan23
I cant help but think of the Richards one every time he is on the ice. |

You ever fight when you were kid, Brooksie. You seem like the type of guy that would get beat up on the playground. |

He is going to score one goal the remainder of the playoffs, but it will be the Game 7 overtime Cup winner, and he will immediately go down into Rangers' lore, and get amnestied shortly thereafter. |

I do also but it is not something that is going to change at this point until the end of the season. I feel myself reciting the serenity prayer over and over during games. |

If he does get fired, I just want to say that whomever the new coach is, will have a system that is too offensive and we can no longer defend, we give up 5 goals a game and they don't give Hank any help in front of him and they are wasting a good goaltender in his prime, he can't expect to win every game 6-5, this is hockey in 2013-2014, not 1984-85, he is too much of a player's coach, he hasn't won anything before.
In all seriousness (the above is an attempt at humor), if they get swept, and he gets fired nobody should be surprised. Crazier things have happened.
Oh yeah, the game tonight, Staal and Powe are bag skating now....so they aren't playing and we knew that....one shift, one period, one game...lets go! |

I am aware but they didn't lose that third game yet so I am pretty optimistic. I might be in the minority here but Boston doesn't strike me as a team that is too difficult to beat.
Never had a lot of respect for their team as a whole. A few solid players over there but overall a very beatable team. |

Its like a game in which you trail 2-0, you score that third goal, a lot of things can change, get this first win, who knows what happens... |

You honestly think our defense is going to forget how to play their postion and Hank is going to stop being the best in the game? |

I honestly though Washington was deeper, Boston just has a better defensive game plan, we need to finally exploit Krug, Bartowski and Hamilton |

Just get in the win column tonight and this series could go back to Boston tied at 2, very easily.
Rangers have been a different team at home than on the road, all season long. But as long as they defend their own rink, all they need is one road win, and they will move onto round three. |

The Rangers match up well against this team. It's time to prove it tho.

I think all the Ranger writers should draws straws to see who gets to ask Torts what he thinks of the getting fired rumors. |

I wouldnt go that far unless they lost tonight. If they do then I would see people wantig them swept so he could be on the hot seat. But right now its still a series.
But that thought process isnt from left field. As a Jets fan thinking about the 2013 season I can relate.... |

It's funny, I disagree with the former, I thought coming in Boston was deeper and a more physical squad, but agree wholeheartedly on the latter point. If I can ever get caught up at work, that's what will be included in my blog. |
