Staal and Powe on the ice for the morning skate.
- NYRangers1124

The question is...are they the ones skating after everybody leaves the ice?

Keenan was more of a hard ass...remember it Mess to tell him to back off and let them pay after Game 5 vs NJ...

Their money guys are better than anything the Rangers have though. Zetterberg and Datsyuk are hall of famers.
- Blueshirts4ever

Datsyuk is dominant without a doubt. But Nash can be just as good as Zetterberg, if not better, he has that kind of ability. Just needs to show it consistently.

I also think the Rangers are more talented than Detroit, particularly on the backline.
- Pete V

Yea, peopel tend to focus on the stars up front. Which offensively the Rangers talent level is severely lacking compared to Chicago and thsoe teams. But If you say, took Kane off the hawks and replaced him with Hank would the Hawks be more or less talented? The focus of always seems to be how many studs do you have on offense.

Also, I agree with Pete. I want that entertaining hockey, I don't get why a team can perfectly blend the styles though. Breakout and beyond play like the wings, when the other team has the puck, block shots and defend. But if I had to pick a poison I'd build my team like the Red Wings. Sometimes the best defense is a good offense, plus your never out of a game.

Zetterberg always seems to step his game up in the post season...Nash has a long way to go

Stepans numbers were very similar to Datysuk's this year. I offer that for no other reason than to show how well Stepan played this year.

Mayeb it will happen with a full camp as the skill and trust level increases. Fast, Lindberg, Kredier with a full camp, Miller, Hags is already here. This team has a chance to really scoot...perhaps a style modification is coming Sept 2013

15 players on per Zip, maybe Staal is going to play every game 3 to get the crowd amped

He and Powe have been practicing with the spares. No Clowe sighting though....

Yeah, it's unfortunate given how much the Rangers gave up for him.

According to Darren Dreger, on TSN Radio, John Tortorella could lose his job as Rangers coach if the Rangers lose to the Bruins in the second round of the playoffs.

That would shock me honestly.

EDIT: And I will be leaving HockeyBuzz alone for the day because you just set the spark to blow up this thread...

I tell myself that I am not going to discuss the coach during the playoffs, but quite frankly, that is the only topic of conversation around here anymore.

I think we should all just tell jokes, make each other laugh, and maybe the edge will come off.

You now know the Rangers will lose and this thread will be filled with trolls and the group that wants to see him fired. Day ruined.

Id love that. But a certain someone lights a fire, and the wrong people get accused of arson

I think Dregers statement is actually newsworthy, however, in that he is one of the few guys in the hockey media that you take seriously when he says something.

will that be followed by Richards getting amnestied? As I have said repeatedly, I will address both topics after, and only after, the season ends, not now.

I wonder who asks the question in the presser and what his response would be. Should be fascinating

There's no sense but we get caught up in it, the only thing that matters now is winning the next 2 and that's it, forget Hank, forget Nash and forget the PP just win.

His response will be "if I am worried about saving my own hide, I'm not focusing on the rights things, and right now, I have a playoff series to focus on."

You are right to do so; no need in addressing hypothetical offseason scenarios during the playoffs.

This series has barely begun.
