i think it was more of a timing issue

probs not the best idea to talk about flyers' young forwards immediately after a 5-2 playoff loss

btw, 5-2 lol yesssss

actually did

i'd make that trade again today. Schenn had easily his best year and was our most consistent dman.

JVR had a 5-week goal drought. Mr. Inconsistent.

well, considering every other defenseman on the Flyers makes over 4 million a year I guess Schenn is a bargain at 3.5 million.

I remember huddling in the windowless halls of the cinderblock grade school for tornado drills. The "safest" place isn't safe. No storm cellars in schools, of course. Also remember having to know which was the SW corner of each friend's basement, because that's where you were to go if the tornado siren sounded.

Yeah, tornados scare the crap out of me. They destroy anything thats in its path. When looking at the footage of the scene, I thought this was a rural area, not a town with 50k residents. Everything was decimated.

I haven't seen it yet, but assume it is like Joplin was. (Was that last spring? Or 2 years ago. Time compresses for us old peeps.)

So, what's the overall mood today on this blog? I've had to stay away until now because of how frustrated the Rangers have made me.
- tomburton99

You know, it isn't like they can't come back in this series. Boston isn't a juggernaut. Win the three home games and one on the road. Until they lose at home I'm not going to be all doom and gloom.

The focus is the elementary school on tv. It is completely leveled. It sounds like all the kids got out except for 1 class. 3rd graders. Search and rescue now

I love Hagelin but I really don't see him having the skill to post those numbers. I see him as a 20-goal, maybe 25-goal guy at best in a good season. And there is nothing wrong with that. He has enough ability and hockey sense to play a complementary offensive role in a top-six and I think he can help a PP. He won't be a cure-all for this PP but there is no reason he can't help a PP and score some goals with the man-advantage. I just think you are overrating his offensive skill set a bit.
- gkmkiller

I agree that I may have over projected him by about 10 goals per season here. But under a suitable NHL team's offensive & hard tempo forechecking style for him, like the Penguins, Islanders, etc.; he can develop into a 30+ goal scorer because of his speed, if he improves his skills, hands, and accuracy of his shot, especially when coming down hard on the wing. Look no further than Dupuis & Parenteau as for two former Rangers that we gave up on too early, who both became legitimate 30+ goal scorers elsewhere playing under more of an offensive plan .

Crosby has been feeding dupuis the puck for a few years now. But that couldn't possibly the reason for his success

Your 45 years of knowledge no one else has would suggest to me you'd realize that, but then again I don't know jack

That, and he played with us when tortrex/tortorcinderella was in TB. Don't get the comparison
