Wait...the power play isn't doing well?

Good thing rangersaver was here to SAVE the day and tell you the PP sucks. I never would have known otherwise.

The one thing I would say is the Bruins are you way more mentally tough than the Caps. It's going to be an enormous challenge but like I said before just need a win on Tuesday.
- Blueshirts4ever

True and we shouldn't count on Boston folding if we get a couple of wins in MSG. We need to be prepared to earn four wins in the next five games. There will be no gifts. Focus on playing the best 60 minutes of hockey possible on Tuesday and everything else will take care of itself. I'm not conceding anything at this point.

We painfully see how important home ice is in the postseason. 3-0 at home and 1-5 on the road.

Awful.

Easssyyyyyy with that.

Considering whats happened, i got a soft spot for them. Thats a little harsh considering, no?

- TrueBlue9182

(frank) Boston, this isn't a battle of who's lost more otherwise I'd bring up something worse that happened on our backyard, that was about sports fans and (frank) them

Why don't we all collectively boycott his posts. It's one thing to be opinionated and all that. He is insulting plain and simple.

4-5 overall...not much changed from the regular season, just the same old inconsistencies

I call it like I see it. He was weak in the first two periods.
- MidnightMarauder

Let's see if you can see the puck through screens, including by your own defenseman, Girardi, who also had a bad game today, probably his worst ever in the playoffs, and had a shot deflect off him past Hank. Hank had a very subpar game for him and looked tired at times today to me on some of his reactionary movements. This was the most goals he gave up since his first playoff game against NJ when he gave up 6 goals with Parrick Elias having 2G and 4A that game.

Absolutely, guess I thought this team would turn a corner after Game 7 against Washington.

It doesn't I just think when he tries to insult us by essentially calling people that don't agree with him stupid why reply to him? It's beyond hockey and his anti torts position it's crossed into the personal and it's shameful

If they go 16-15 that would be good enough for me.

Just need to win Tuesday nothing else matters right now

We should know better Brandon, it's great that we got into the second round but we're aren't good enough starting behind the bench to a pathetic 4th line Center by our next amnesty, we're getting closer to a rebuild than a Cup

Richards has to be bought out. Even if you think he can bounce back, he isn't bouncing back to that contract.

I don't mean to be too technical but I guess I will anyway; the most games the Rangers can lose and still win the Cup would be 12, no more than three in each of the four series necessary. But I see your point and agree with you.

I disagree about being closer to a rebuild than a title. They seem to be in that position of unknown. They could be a title contender if a few adjustments are made. This team is not devoid of talent, not even close.

You can buyout Richards and still win a title. There is still a good core if youngish talent. They may take a sideways step next year bc of how much younger they will get but they are not far away.

And not done yet!!

That will be a big issue once the season ends but I wouldn't be so sure he gets bought out though.

I agree, this team has given me a ton of gray hairs but I still think this series is not over.

I don't agree with you on this. I think we can contend for a Cup with the majority of this roster and coaching staff. I would absolutely support the hiring of a PP specialist to coach up the man advantage. The Kings dominant run (coming on the heels of a mediocre 82-game regular season I might add) aside it's rare for any team to steamroll through the postseason. Look no further than our Cup win in 1994: starting in the ECF I'd bet fans were on the verge of giving up on that team that year hundreds of times before they found a way and got the win. Just because we haven't dominated teams doesn't mean they aren't good enough to win a Cup. Every single team alive in the playoffs has flaws and has had games where they looked beatable.

Contenders don't come from unknowns, this group has to show some sort of excellence before they start leaving at free agency

How can anyone find a positive with 2 players having better games in game 2 than game 1?

Torrey Krug H's outplayed our entire defense, that's the glaring difference, we'll never see a player coming up with games like that
