I don't want to be homerish, but the depth in our prospect system is pretty impressive. Considering that we're going to add a Drouin or MacKinnon in just over a month, and I would go as far to say that it might be unmatched. The future is as bright as ever.

When people criticize Yzerman, I always point out the depth in our system. The Lightning pipeline has never been stronger than it is right now, and that's all due to the big man running the show.

Love this idea. While MacKinnon and Drouin might have more pure "talent," Barkov is going to be one hell of a player. Before the Lightning's colossal collapse took place, he was the guy I wanted in that 4-7 range.
