Guess we'll find out whether Chicago knows how to win when they're stinking up the ice...

+1. I believe if we get down by 2, look for Q to send a message - either benching non performers, or changing goalies (though Crow is not at fault)

Pull the goalie who's keeping them in the game ... are you Qs nephew?

Crawford has his detractors, and I've been one of them many times, but he has been the ONLY consistent playoff performer through the first seven games.

Last playoff game for Carcillo

He takes a reckless penalty and then argues with the referees ! ???

I have Been saying it for weeks
Carcillo is useless and hurts the team with undisciplined penalties that with all his experience he should no better

By playing this guy what is Q saying to his team

Smith
Stalberg ...

.anyone but 13

- PEIHawkFan

Certainly possible we see Smith before series end. Almost entirely perimeter play tonight, and a guy going hard to the net would be just what the doctor ordered.

Agreed about Crawford. But Sharp has been a consistent performer in the 6+ playoff games.

You're right. He has been very good. I forgot about him. Probably due to my disgust in watching this game. If Q read them the riot act, it sure hasn't changed their play any through the first four minutes.

Exactly. He complains about the lack of intensity - and justifiable so - but the only thing he has done to address it, is bench one of the better performers in the first series for some unknown and shady reasons. Even after the first few minutes of game one, Detroit had the better of the play for the rest of that period. Today has been a total no show thus far. These kind of efforts have happened far too often in the playoffs thus far. You may be able to beat the Wild with a half ass effort, but that's not going to fly in this round.

Again, not meant as a knock on Crow. He is their mvp. Just send a message to the teammates

What does that tell the team? If you show up to play every game, you get benched? I don't see that solving anything...

Even if we do get out of this round, the Kings will be well rested if we keep playing like this. They DO NOT look like a first seed today.

I hate afternoon games!!

No sustained pressure on Howard today, certainly since the first period - one-and-dones.

Well . . . let me say this . . . Toews is a no show so far this year. Make whatever excuses you want, he's been a nothing in the 2013 playoffs. Talking heads making mention of Babcock getting Zetterberg out against 19 as much as possible.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Toews has both height and weight on Zetterberg. Toews listed at 6'2", 208 lbs. Zetts 5'11", 197lbs. So 3" (and reach) and at least 10 lbs.

So really, WTF is up with Toews?

Ooops, while I was drafting this, #2 and #4 are asleep at the switch again. 2 goal lead, game over. Series is going at least 6 games. Q is a phucking moron, benches the fastest forward we have and keeps trotting out #2 and #4 thinking they are the answer. Guess not, huh?

Guess Q misjudged this Detroit crew. Team with a lot of pride. They've skated Chicago right off the ice. And Q has been outcoached once again.

3rd line hasn't done jack $HIT without Stalberg. Hammer, Keith and Toews playing like they have downs.

The Hawks just allowed the outcome of this series to become a toss-up. Another effort like today and this series will be over in 5 or 6 games, just not in the favor that most people seem to think. This was an absolutely inexcusable, uninspired performance on your own home ice. It's alarming to me that our head coach recognized the lack of intensity this team had early in the first series yet it continues to be a problem. How a team that has been knocked out in the first round two years in a row can have a lack of intensity this bad is beyond me.

Ahhhh, the Kinks:

"So tired - tired of waiting" for the Hawks to start skating.

They're all - especially Hjarmalsson - like Lola.

Playing like sh!t "all day and all of the night".

Not that surprising, you give Babcock two days to make adjustments and he will make you pay. #25 better be in the lineup game 3.
