Q better be lighting a fire under their asses this intermission. This is one of the worst periods they've played in a while

No excuse for all this sloppiness.

Savvy....Leddy's not playing well..he just GIFT WRAPPED another PHUCK'N chance.
- philco28

He's far from the problem Phil -- it wasn't a good pass but then again, the forwards are not giving the D much in the way of options for outlets. They either have to bang it out, ice it or skate it out.

I think the staff has the shackles on Leddy so you aren't going to see him carry the puck out of harm's way. Mistake.

Hawks are very lucky to be only down 1 goal. IMO, your worst D pair this game is Keith and Hjalmarsson. #4 just nonchalanted it back on a sure icing and skated right past the puck w/o touching it.

And Q's benching of Stalberg not looking so good now, is it? We could use Stal's speed and Carcillo has brought nothing other than take a very stupid penalty. Hasn't seen the ice a lot. Wonder why.

Don't think Leddy is on a short leash. Just think he's played POORLY today bro. Can't hedge on that. He GIFT WRAPPED a breakaway in the first and an odd man rush in the 2nd.

But you're right...we should be down 4 or 5-1....Crow's been great today...so far.

I love our Captain but its time he woke up. He's been neutralized now for 6 2/3 games. We need him and others driving to the net.

Also, I hope the Stalberg benching punishment is officially over. We need him in the lineup. Carcillo can sit the rest of the series.

Yep...19 deserves some heat...he's been too quiet. Then he takes a cross check to the back of the melon from Zetterberg and he's probably still feeling that.

I wonder if it's possible for this team to show any less interest in this game as they have thus far. The Hawks have played approximately 22 periods of hockey thus far in the playoffs (including overtimes). Not sure what the actual minutes total out to, but if this team has played with a consistent playoff intensity for a third of that time, I'd be surprised. No excuse whatsoever for the effort we are seeing thus far.

This is going to be a close series, so power play success is going to be imperative. I don't think I need to even go into any detail at all regarding our power play. They simply don't have one.

Oh and I'm sure glad Q took Stalberg's hustle and speed out of the lineup. It was killing the Hawks. I mean, he almost cost them the Wild series with his horrendous play. They look much better with Carcillo playing his usual 3 to 5 minutes and taking his obligatory dumb penalties every game. You have to hand it to Q. The guy is a genius.

Q's concerns about the lack of intensity in the first round were well founded. Not sure what THE PHUCK he's done about it, other than get into a public pissing match with a guy that played 47 of 48 regular season games.

Bottom line. We've really looked meh the whole playoffs.

Zet's been holding him all period, at one point even grabbing his waistband and skeeching behind him and not one F'n call!!!

This was one of their worst periods all season. Dipsheet Q has all 3 of their penalty mongers in while sitting Stalberg. Fug Carcillo, the refs call him for even THINKING about doing something. Kane took a vicious cross check to the lower back for no call but car's love taps get a call. Bad play and one-sided officiating. They better play one helluva third.

Exactly. He complains about the lack of intensity - and justifiable so - but the only thing he has done to address it, is bench one of the better performers in the first series for some unknown and shady reasons. Even after the first few minutes of game one, Detroit had the better of the play for the rest of that period. Today has been a total no show thus far. These kind of efforts have happened far too often in the playoffs thus far. You may be able to beat the Wild with a half ass effort, but that's not going to fly in this round.

+1. I believe if we get down by 2, look for Q to send a message - either benching non performers, or changing goalies (though Crow is not at fault)

Last playoff game for Carcillo

He takes a reckless penalty and then argues with the referees ! ???

I have Been saying it for weeks
Carcillo is useless and hurts the team with undisciplined penalties that with all his experience he should no better

By playing this guy what is Q saying to his team

Smith
Stalberg ...

.anyone but 13

if the Hawks have a 5 on 3 in the last 2 minutes, they probably would't close it out with a W like the Kings did...
