NO one thought it was suspension, worthy.. except Habs fans. (And Shanahan due to league orders).

The entire CBC panel, the entire TSN panel all were shocked that he was suspended. McGuire was on Ottawa radio again this morning saying he didn't feel that Gryba should have been suspended. The primary point of contact was the shoulder and then the head hit.

Both suspensions are jokes. Shanahan has certainly has a sense of humor, just different from everyone else's....

This suspension just proves that Shanny is nothing more than a league puppet.

Would an 'independent' disciplinarian really set a new standard in round two of the NHL playoffs? I'm pretty sure this is the first time a suspension has been termed in 'series' instead of 'games'.

I don't think an independent person would do something this unprecedented without league orders.

Not true. Cooke was given 10 games plus the first round (17 games total) a couple years ago for his hit on McDonough.
