yesterday I got home and there was a kind, handwritten note from the department of public works asking me if I can from now on put beer cartons in the recycling bin instead of the compost bin.

I usually do but this one was dirty.

the note ended with a smiley face.

you have to love how the city's entire infrastructure plan aims to make it as unpleasant and expensive as possible for motorists to move around in order to drive them to use public transportation that doesn't work.

Well, you look at mlb players, and about 50% of them are overweight. That gives you an idea about how serious baseball is.

a good start would be not letting 60 kids sign up when you only have one coach and that one coach is only available for one of the two weekly sessions.
