Next year's Masterton trophy should be awarded the the Leafs and their fans. Coming back after getting their heart ripped like that is not easy.

they havent come back yet .. no guarantee they will either

might be back to being the basement dwellers again next year

Quenneville and MacLean are obvious choices. MacLean, considering what he coaches through will win it, as much as I disliked his tactics vs. Habs in first round, they were still effective.

As far as Boudreau vs. Therrien as last nominee

Habs are getting credit in forms of Gallagher (rookie) and Bergevin will get nominated for exec of the year, most likely.

Boudreau had the exact same roster as last year that couldn't make the playoffs and won his division. Same roster, same GM; he is the only "new" thing that got them there, essentially. So he got the nod. I hope the fefans don't humiliate the entire fan base, again.

only thing about MacLean is, he got such ridiculous goaltending from Anderson and Lehner. but he still had them competing every night no matter who was in the lineup.

Also, same coach. He was hired in Anaheim very early in the season last year I think.

and same roster than finished 4th in the conference 2 years back and has some of the best forwards in the NHL. Boudreau is completely overrated. there's a reason he can't win a playoff series to save his life.

Same with the Habs, let's see how they do in a full season. Both team saw some positive signs of going in the right direction but with a short season, who knows if those signs are sustainable during a full season. (See Octocup from a few years ago in TO)

Yes. I bet the NHL in the 60s had something to do with it.

I have a personal policy of not working on the Friday before a Saturday.
