i'm not against trading Plekanec. but if the organization does move him, it will be for the sake of moving him. i don't think you'll get much in return. and how do you replace him? MORE ice for Desharnais?
- DoubleDown

Tabarnak non.

I'd rather move Eller and DD before Plek.

Galchenyuk and Eller.

If Eller can prove that it wasn't a one year wonder, then sure. No way I trade Plekanec this summer though.

insanely skilled but he's kind of a mess. do we really need that again in montreal?
- muffin_man

He's also a raging alcoholic with millions of dollars to blow on hookers and cocaine. Surely, nothing bad could ever happen to him if he lived/played in Montreal.

Well then, leave the team as-is for the foreseeable future and wait for the draftees to show if they are busts or not.

And let's all complain about their lack of size.

- Pecafan Fan

isn't that the exact same route you're taking by trading Plekanec for a prospect?

as long as everybody knows they need to give him his change, I don't see the problem. Might be a good thing to let him know in advance pennies have been taken out in Canada though.

Pretty sure you can get hookers and cocaine in Chicago.

He has kept his nose pretty clean during the season....it's when he goes home to hang with his buddies in the off-season that the wheels fall off.

I don't think he's considered a bad attitude kind of guy. Any team would take him.

It's approaching pandemic status in Toronto. It seems that many fat chicks have adopted the attitude of "if I can pour my fat ass into this, I can wear it in public".

dude he plays in Chicago. it's not like Montreal would be anything new for him. if anything he'd get into less trouble here.

Yeah, well every team will prefer Plek to Eller and DD. That's why it's more logical to trade him than one of the other two.

Let's trade a big pile of our own poop to get a big physical top 6 winger!

Trading a bunch of useless plugs for top-end talent only seems to work for Brian Burke.
