See what happens to the Sens when Andreson is only playing good, not great?

srsly, their recipe is pretty simple.

Hang on for 2 periods, Anderson keeps them in, try to win it in the 3rd period.

Not my point. I was simply drawing comparisons between the two teams.

We all enjoyed that year's playoff run even if we knew the team wasn't very good. They get to do that now. Except they have more players I hate (Turris, Alfredsson, Neil, Philips, Beckham... euh sorry, Zibenejad)

Well then yes, it is pretty similar.

If Anderson derails for a few minutes in a game, they are (frank)ed.

mentioned last night that it's one thing to ask Anderson bail you out against Montreal. but against Pittsburgh he was gonna need help and Ottawa is not nearly that good.

wouldn't say it's the same thing. Habs went to the conference final and took out the 2 best teams in the East while doing so.
Sens beat a Habs team that was obliterated by injuries and are getting absolutely wasted in the second round. the 3-1 series tally flatters them.

Considering one of the best skaters in the NHL looks like he's got a 50 pound weight strapped to his ankle...no, you're not.

As bad as they were, a mediocre Anderson and that series is much closer, if not a win for the Habs.

I don't know that it really matters, his defensive lapses were always there. They are just way more obvious when you are playing strong teams night after night. Also, if he isn't, then Ottawa is stupid. Why risk long term damage for a playoff run as a 7th seed?

Gonchar is being completely exposed in this Pittsburgh series. At least 3-4 of those goals last night were his fault. Random thought but I thought I'd throw it out there. He needs to be played on PP only.

A mediocre Anderson and it's Habs in 5. Games would have been over after the first period.
