I hope the Wings buyout Datsyuk. He works hard, but he's not very skilled.

if you don't like it blame Nay he signed off on it.

How is that going to work? They will speed it up?

Usually the first round drags on for 3 hours.

- stinger67

It will probably start in the morning.

Instead of drafting and waiting a few years to go there (because it's where they always wanted to play) all the players will be drafted by Toronto, so they'll save a lot of time with the same people always on stage.

For it to work in Montreal they need 3 things

1- A new stadium downtown
2- A salary cap system
3- Bud Selig to GTFO

...and when I say work, is to actually allow a franchise in Montreal to be something else than a farm team for the rest of the league.

- stinger67

A is obvious, but the other cities need the same.
B will never happen in baseball - NEVER
C is a given

He was kicked out of Edmonton because a) of his contract b) he was always injured.

He was very good this year.

- _nay_

He got kicked out of Edmonton, because he was injuried and then went to the media to female dog about management not sending him a get well soon card.

That's a stupid deal.

According to Richard Cloutier, no way that the Oilers keep Sam Gagner and Ales Hemsky.

Likely PK, Price, Eller, Montreal's 1st pick + CGY and NAS 2nd rounders for Dubnyk Smid Gagner Hemsky. Conditional 2014 MTL 1st rounder if Edmonton doesn't finish dead last.

I guess they will bring the first round draftees on stage, but after that they will just name the players, like usual. But instead of doing that on a night and then in the noon the following day for the other rounds, they'll do it straight pipe.

but doesn't need to happen. teams, like oakland and tampa, are competitive with small budgets. just have horrid stadium issues.

I've seen Moneyball 4 times I could be the GM of Montreal's team for a "low" salary.

I've read enough of his blogs to know how much he wants to trade them and how they would fetch a 1st rounder plus a mid prospect each.
