I'm not giving up the farm for him, but I would certainly put down an offer of a vet or 2 and possibly a b prospect or low pick.

That's the thing....the Flames are just so damn deep at center inquiring about Burmistrov makes zero sense. Well at least not in the mind of a borderline genius like Feaster.

There's no guarantee backlund can stay healthy, or horak is an nhl player ... I'd rather have more possibilities at a position we have had zero depth

The cost is the deciding factor, obviously but Burm is 21 with NHL experience. He has more skill than the others you mention. Swapping out Stajan for a younger Burmistrov is a no brainer. Of course we lack size and grit and it will likely get worse. But that shouldn't stop us from getting a good young player if he can be had on the cheap.

And if we get pushed around by Edmonton, it won't be because they have more size, they are a team full of shrimps and they have as much work or more to do in that department as we do.

Flames should offer Cammi + a 2nd for Burmi. Get rid of a bad contract with a cancer player. Burmi would be a far more tradeable asset if needed later on.

Cammy isn't a cancer , he's pretty much done anything the coaches ask of him whether that be playing center, wing, 1st line-3rd line ... Hopefully he has a decent year so we can trade him at the deadline

I question the Flames' and rest of NHL's European scouting if he was considered the best player outside the NHL.

I never saw much of anything in him except a player who consistently turned over the puck when entering the zone.

Not a loss at all.

Calgary should pick Nichuskin if he is still there.

What about swap the first pick to the islanders for ullstrom and Joensuu.
