What a problem to be in
Hamilton makes some real good offensive plays and while his defense has some work, he's pretty good with that stick. - Lahey
Seriously....how deep are they? Unreal. Great scouting and drafting. Boston is no doubt top-to-bottom the deepest team in the league. Not even close. |

Having Chara makes a huge difference. We had Pronger and saw that.
But as a whole PC has made some real good moves. Some very small, some they don't get the best player but get the better, some just plain lucky. |

Yeah funny how things can change , about a month ago there were rumours the bruins might go after different d men in the off season , now they have too many ... Maybe the oil can go after one of them |

It's crazy how deep they are , the 3 kids on d all look good , Tyler seguin on your 3rd line , a 4th line who can win you games , khudobin subban behind Rask .... they will be a top team for years to come |

I'd like to just keep things simple and sign a Ference or trade for a Mcquaid, maybe I should get greedy and go for Boychuk or Hamilton
I've said it a few times around the internet, "the better Krug, Bartkowski and Hamilton play the better for teams looking for d help this off-season". |

They are the new Detroit. Have a very solid core and the rest of the piece are just interchangeable. |

Lolzzzzzzz
They will keep Chara, Hamilton, and Boychuk for sure I would think...probably McQuaid as well.
I could maybe see them moving one of Krug, Bartkowski, Seidenberg or Ference. You never know though!

Ok Colin, if you're around it may be time for a quick blog.
There seems to be a few things that could be pertinent to the Flames.
Burmistrov wanting out; Nichushkin declaring he wants to come to NA next season; Brad Richards being sat tonight which could add to speculation that he could be bought out.....
What do ya' think?

Richards could fill in at center for the portion of every season RNH misses |

Is this a rumour you started in your own head? Just wait until he's bought out. Otherwise, NYR better eat 1/2 that salary and we still give no more than a c prospect. Pfffft. |

Why not your 7th and 1 of your 2nd's for the STL & PIT picks? Then we could likely draft Monahan and Lindholm. - TandA4Flames
7+37 for 29+like 20
no thank you. that's like swapping 7th overall and 20th to move up 8 spots from 37-29. Huge rip |

8 games this year? for shoulder surgery?
he could fill in the 55 games baertchi's in abbotsford next year. CGY should take him |

They should have let him have surgery weeks before they did. In a normal season he would have missed 30
Baertchi was sent down because he wasn't ready yet , completely different |

I agree completely. Look, you take a shot at Nuge's womanly frame, I take a shot at "2013 calder winner" Baertschi |

Burmistrov is like backland 2.0 but with less gritt. Not sure if we need that.
Nich I'm so so on, Richards for cammy? |

I wouldn't give anything up for Richards and his contract calgary would be stuck with it for 7 more years. I think he is a buyout candidate for sure. |

Exactly , let the rangers buy him out , offer him a 2-3 year deal at 2-3 per
If he signs great if not no biggie ... You could even offer more on a one year
Only reason I'm for this idea is because we need centers now |

It's a different time for CGY. They have no need for a 30 something center that is declining in his productivity. They are trying to rebuild which means adding youth. I wouldn't be completely opposed to signing Richards, I most definitely wouldn't trade for him. A signing could be for more than 4 or 5 years and with a cap friendly hit. IMO, EDM could use him more at this stage. |

Given the fact that we need centres and especially young young ones, we should certainly take a very close look at Burmistrov. The kid has skills and was an 8th overall pick for a reason. I'm not giving up the farm for him, but I would certainly put down an offer of a vet or 2 and possibly a b prospect or low pick. |

I agree he is a better fit in edm, but if we don't sign anyone who do we have at center next year ? Stajan, backlund ...... |
