We play for the Crowns on the front, not the Leafs on the other front.

According to Garth, it was Giroux, not Stamkos. Means nothing, but, yeah.
- jmatchett383

Giroux was high on the left wing circle--at a standstill--away from the play completely.

Garth is an idiot.

He looks great on the big ice doesnt he. Hes taking big steps lately
- Just5

He looks good on every ice surface on the planet. Stamkos is a flat-out star. It's a dern shame his star power is wasted in Tampa.

Morrow, but I'm thinking he gets more like $3.5M.

I'd be in for that as well.

This forward core is too easy to play against as it is.

I think the Flyers should start him on the 2nd pairing next year. Pair him with Grossman there and give him 20 mins.

Edler made no effort at the puck. He is looking at Staal as he moves down the ice. Leans into Staal--don't think he's going for the knee--but nevertheless, a bone-headed, unnecessary play that results in Staal's injury.

Misconduct justified.

I think they should consider trying it in preseason and go from there based on the results.

Whats going to be just as important to me, is how his body holds up with the likely increased minutes over an 82 game season.

I have some injury questions regarding Guss, especially this early in his career. Flyers for once should pay attention to that.

well, i guess somewhere between 2.5-3.5 would be expected. Term would be the bigger issue with him. Either way I like him for the 3rd line for a couple years. Brings grit and skill.

Your left wingers would be Hartnell, Simmonds, Morrow with all capable of moving up/down to push each other

Guss had a nice end-to-end rush in the last period. Showed some wheels coming out of the zone before dishing it off to (Eriksson, I think).

But then again, Niittymaki always played well in worlds, too.

So, let's see. But I'd give Gus the inside track at a top 6 spot.

Gus in his 2nd stint this past year looked like a different player. Hopefully for a full year we see that player

I liked Simmer better at the RW, actually. Imagine if a trade was worked for evander kane though. Then he could potentially play a line WITH Simmer. That'd be scary.

Are you watching this Canada/Sweeden game?

Simmonds and Read are showing a hell of a lot more than Giroux. Claude seems to just be gliding all over the place.
