From what I have observed from most fans, the whole goalie controversy really isn't one. Its more of a, we all now Vokoun deserves to get the nod type of situation, but almost everyone just feels for Fleury being left out in the cold.
Fleury is just a likeable kind of guy, and you cant help but want to see likable guys succeed.

So I don't really look at it as us complaining.

Sorry my kids are grown, and gone, The kids channel is a distant memory

Kids channel? KIDS CHANNEL!?!?

Strongbad, though a role model, is not on a kids channel.

I'm comfortable with either one Barts. Not against Fleury at all. I hope he can make a huge come back and play the way he can....but Vokoun has been a safe pick. Very calm guy.

How's team Canada btw? I saw they had a rough game against Slovenia.

Bryz had a rough time with our rookies and fourth line guys absent Stastny and Oshie today.

USA routs Russia in quarters

Craig Smith's five-point game leads USA to 8-3 win over Russia

Alexander Ovechkin, who arrived yesterday, scored one and added an assist for Russia. He was selected as best player for his team.

I feel for MAF, but he is a professional athlete, and knowing how devoted he is to his teammates, I'm sure he just wants them to win first and foremost. He also knows that this might be the last shot at a cup for guys like Iginla and Morrow. I suspect we'll see him again before this is all said and done, but I'd be just as happy seeing Vokoun play great the rest of the way and lead them to a cup.

For some reason I was looking at Byslma's career playing stats this morning, and I went down the hockeydb rabbit hole and started looking at who he's played with in his career. We know that he played with a couple guys he's coached (Kunitz, Petr Sykora & Phillippe Boucher), but there were some other names that jumped out at me:

Todd Reirdon
"Downtown" Robbie Brown
Kevin Stevens
Rob Blake both in the NHL & College (not interesting, except for the fact that I really like Rob Blake lol)
Matt Cullen (for a few years - Just interesting because that was a trade deadline name that came up).
And most interesting of all to me: Ilya Bryzgalov

Ok... back to being bored at work

I don't know how anybody can say that Iginla hasn't been good so far. He's been one of the better Penguins so far in the playoffs.

I can't understand how Craig Smith, Moss, Stephen Gionta, Nate Thompson, Ryan Carter, Jacob Troumba and others absent Oshie and Stastny and have a 19-year old goalie from Pittsburgh light up Russia that way.
