Belichick is a humorless douche - I think this guy is actually pretty funny.
- MadCap2008

PM is definitely more likable than Belichick, but he still gives off a bit of that vibe. Hopefully, ill never have a reason to hate him the way I hate Belichick.

Paulrus knows exactly what he is doing, he drove Therrien insane. Ottawa loves him, would you rather listen to Tortorella!??!
- MrFurly

No no I wouldn't.

Love the Don Knotts picture.

It just seems like he tries to hard. Maybe its a defense mechanism.
- nbartley9

I think it's very calculated. It's like in A Few Good Men, when they tell him to call the dead guy "Private Santiago" instead of "Willie." He makes it a hockey player reference instead of an individual reference. Also, I'm sure it drives the other team crazy so....yeah, unless you're playing him, the guy's great.

That is very damning - the Caps were too dependent on PP's to score, and they had very few opportunities as that series progressed. My guess is that after this all plays out, I will look back and say that the Caps-Rangers series was two mediocre teams who played a series which ultimately had very little impact on how the playoffs as a whole played out.
- MadCap2008

Rangers can manage the games they are in because Lundqvist will rarely get lit up. Rick Nash mans up and they have a chance to beat Boston.

Agreed, it's a winnable series for the Rangers. Hoping for Boston, though - ECF of Pens-Rangers would be a serious mismatch.

I really don't think he'll take more than anyone else, save #71 and #87 (see what I did there). It's the playoffs. Any issue with Cooke and the Senators can be settled next season if need be. If either team is looking for payback or any kind, they'll have a great view of the other team lighting them up with skilled hockey.

At the beginning I liked " the bug eyed walrus", After hearing the guys presser today with the whole "I know 87 is Crosby, and 71 is Malkin" the guy is kind of annoying. Anyone else hear it?

The guy is kind of a sideshow, pretty distracting if you ask me.

Rawdog- yeah long time dreamcast worms fan.

Its completely calculated and obvious why he does it

He makes comments and the media feeds of it. So all post game and pre game scrums surround him and involve him, thus letting the sens be stress free

In the habs series all the questions were posed to prust, therrien, diaz, price because of what Maclean said and basically the only person being interviewed in Ottawa about "storylines" was Maclean

He takes all the attention and lets the younger sens players sneak through the media during a high pressure time

Not a new tactic, to be certain. Remember a few years a go, a certain Chris Pronger stole some pucks during a Finals series? Yeah, there's a reason Michael Leighton wasn't cooking under the media spotlight (what with being a not-very-good-at-all goaltender).

Can't wait. New series, new challenges.

Should be way more physical, I don't think Morrow ever really got to his game vs. NYI. A net front presence will be huge vs Anderson.

As long as we are playing team defense Vokoun will be solid. I have a lot of faith in 92 and his effect on the Penguins demeanor.

To be honest I don't know what to expect from Ott. We battled 3 times in the reguler season and both team missing some star players throughout.

Kunitz and Morrow hopefully will help. Crankshaft should get a few shifts in front of the net.

I expect this to be a hard hitting game, no doubt.

I hope we play some D tonight....we can't be lazy with these guys...

Engeland and Murray...... I guess we just don't expect that pairing to move very well.

Well, pens are going from facing a speedy offensive minded team, to a team that plays strong and physical D and a solid goalie.

So any changes to the lines? Is it Vokoun or fleury?

Edit: just saw its Vokoun

I think Despres did pretty well in the last game. I don't like Engelland getting a spot unless it's for Nisky who was a disaster last round.

I'm actually a little surprised Eaton isn't get back in there. Bylsma seems to love the guy even though he struggled a bit last round. Nobody struggled more than Nisky however.
