With the Caps elimination, I've got my annual dilemma of rooting against the Pens vs wanting to see entertaining hockey. I hate them, but the Pens are always entertaining. If I can step away from my distaste for the Pens, it would be really exciting to have a Pens/Blackhawks final, probably the best possible showcase for the sport.

EDIT: Still rooting for the Sens, though

Glad to see that you didn't jump into the Potomac. You know that you ARE slowly becoming a Pens fan, right?

nobody on ottawa has a good beard.......that looks more like penner, must be an LA Piasa bird.

ottawa's would only have a bad mustache, or soul patch.

In all fairness, it is a STL(more specifically Alton, IL) thing. Feel free to read up on it if you are so inclined:

Obviously you missed the memo where the hockey gods let it be known that the Sens have the speed of the Isles, the physicality of Boston, and the goal scoring of Chicago. They are like the Piasa bird of hockey. In case you dont know what a Piasa bird is:

Those Hockey Gods are some mean MFr's. First Crosby's jaw. Then last night's cruel demise of Carlyle's Leafs. Don't wan't to piss the Gods off I guess....

get over yourself. we blasted you because you basically came into the ottawa thread and stated, as fact, that karlsson and spezza didn't deserve to breathe the same air as tavares.

Not playing this game again.sorry

Will you two just f*ck and get it over with? I haven't seen this much repressed sexual tension since Melnyk's last presser about Matt Cooke!

I sacrificed a gyro to my stomach before the last 2 games of the Isles series and it pleased both me and the gods. Think I am going to keep it going tonight.

come on man, i think you're kind of overlooking montreal a bit, and pumping up the isles a little too much.

montreal finished 10 pts clear of the islanders, scored more, gave up less, better PP, better PK..........

montreal ran into a bad matchup for their team style, and weren't able to overcome it. you're acting like ottawa played the panthers in teh first rd, and the pens played the hawks.

montreal is better than the islanders, but couldn't match the physical play of ottawa, and couldn't beat anderson, THAT is why they aren't playing anymore.

- sensarmy_11

The Islanders beat Montreal in a seven game series and I'm comfortable saying that. We didn't play the Hawks, but we played against a team that matches up pretty well with us. You played a team we sweep in four and the Islanders beat in six. You guys scored 19 goals on Montreal or whatever and you don't have the same speed or transition game as do the Islanders. If you did, it would have been 25 goals.

I'm not sure you watched any of this series, or the Islanders during the course of the season. I watched too much Montreal down the stretch to know they don't qualify if this was a regular 82-game slate.

This isn't the regular season anymore chief. Ask Vancouver.

Well our normal group has dwindled unfortunately. 1 is in DC auditing a bank, 1 will be at the game tonight so that leaves 2 of us. Not sure if we are doing BFGG again or if he is just going to grab a couple from downtown to bring back. Decisions decisions.
