Canucks need to lower their cap number, they will most likely want Simmonds over Hartnell. - BiggE
If we want schenn in the mix, who would you guys want coming back? |
|

Honestly, as a Flyers fan, I would strongly consider trading Simmonds for Edler. As much as I like Simmonds, the Flyers have several good forwards and a definite need on defense.
It'd definitely depend on the terms involved, but I think most Flyers fans would agree, because they have such a need for a solid, mobile top 4 defenseman like Edler. - Jsaquella
Simmonds is exactly what this team needs |

Id rather trade Hartnell...Too many pentalies. Simmonds is younger and faster. - BernieKorch
Hartnell is now too old |

Ottawa could use Edler but it would not be a package involving a top roster player. I think they could part with their 1st and Mark Stone though for Edler no problem! - riceroni
That would be interesting. Maybe need a "throw in" type roster player, but doable |

I dont like that trade...
A playoff pick and a prospect that hasnt been anywhere the last year isnt good enough for a d-man that can put up 40-50 points
Edler may be inconsistent but he has put up the numbers |

I'd hardly call 38 points in 54 games as an AHL rookie doing nothing.
He'll be a big-bodied, 50-70 point guy one day and he is a cheap cap number.
The first pick will very likely be around 18-20 in a good draft.
the value wouldn't be that bad. |

A trade we can make but not with edler
IMO Edler can get more than that |

You're severely undervaluing Bergeron in that trade proposal. He does it all, he may not put up 80+ points a year but he plays all 3 zones and is one of the top faceoff guys in the NHL if not the best. Chiarelli would trade everyone on the roster before he moved Bergeron, especially for Edler. |

We have a player like that. We need scoring and Bruins don't need a Dman |

You must not be that big of a Leafs fan. |

Edler, Booth and Luongo (14ish) for Vanek, Meyers and Kaleta (13.8ish)
BUF could then trade Miller for an immediate return.
Both Meyers and Edler get a new start. |

I wouldn't want to part with Schenn, my best offer would be Simmonds, this years 2nd pick #41 and a prospect. |

The Bruins could actually use a Dman. Chara is turning 37 next year and it appears Ference may be on his way out this summer during free agency. That only leaves Hamilton, Boychuck and Seidenberg with a 37 year old Chara. |

So you expect to get a top prospect in Strome for what you call the Canucks 3rd best left handed d-man? |

Some of those offers are good. Others, not so good.
Love all the fans of other teams saying "you're crazy", and then some of the fans of the teams proposed in the deals coming in and saying they'd make the deal...

You never know. A young, injury prone roster with a few guys potentially retiring. It's a gamble, for sure, but that pick could be anywhere. |

I think just about every one of those trades is doable, other than Bergeron and Strome. Skinner is kind of iffy too. |
