Curious as I wonder if the leafs implode would of happened if they did get lu.

The Canucks basically got chastised two years ago by other markets media (Lots of Ontario/East perceptions) not because they were doing it any more or less than anyone else, but because it was the easiest way to take shots at a (largely) winning team.

The whole who is Canada's team thing? Based out of jealousy from other Canadian markets. That sounds petty, but it really was. No other Canadian market wants to see another Canadian market win the cup, for the most part. It's an age old Canadian rivalry narrative that got translated into a hockey metaphor. I understand why and it doesn't surprise me.

It's frustrating to acknowledge the way your team plays, but have other blatant examples get ignored, is all. Canucks really haven't played that way since 2011, but can't shake it and that's fine. But it doesn't mean other teams are immune to criticism, especially from Vancouver fans.

nope. I have many friends of all of the other Canadian teams and for the most part they would rather see another Canadian team win rather than some US team they don't really follow....unless...it's the Canucks. THey really are the most hated team and this post screams of denial.

Well, when you go out quickly like the Canucks, so completely behind the 8 ball with the refs, all you can say is (frank) it. When your team collapses in the final period to team that is fully allowed to murder at will like the Bruins, it just winds you.

And when you get clowned like the Caps... Probably just got to drink it off.

I can't believe the sort of sh!t the Bruins are forever allowed to get away with. Even Marchand's water bottle acts like the 10th cherry on top. But it's the playoffs,so time to put the whistles away when the Bruins are playing and make questionable calls when everyone else is playing.

Probably. We've seen Lu's implosions before and Reimer looked dynamite for most of this series. I'd say, given his play over the past 7 games, Nonis is unlikely to give Lu another thought.

Sorry chief, I'm not one of them but a lot of non-Vancouverite Canadians are happy tonight. Every team has it's haters but yeah some more than others, like the Canucks.

Any self-respecting Canucks fan is (frank)ing choked that the Bruins came back to win that game. I was "raised" to hate the Leafs by CKNW, and by having CBC ram the Leafs down my throat for decades... but there really is no reason to hate the Leafs anymore.

The Big Bad Bruins are the target of my hate, and for this, I submit to you the angry emoticon...
