Paying attention and reading an entire blog is tough.
Requires heart. - Mattjd123
It really does. It takes commitment. I battled through and actually took the 37 seconds required to read Ian's blog. It was tough but in the end I think I'm better for it. Really builds character.

I remember a school yard fight back in elementary school. Two boys fighting, and one boy pulled the other boys hair in the fight. He was whining about it to the teacher/principle whoever it was breaking up the fight.
Classic response by the teacher:
"If you don't want people pulling your hair, don't grow it out like a girl"

Well, that was an unexpected reply...
I think that having a few too many players and a GM who focus on officiating, diving, chirping, etc., can create a questionable team culture. It's all distracting. A team needs to disengage from that stuff and honestly outwork and outplay its opponent.
As far as my Kings go, I won't deny that Brown and Doughty dive and I won't act like the Kings are the the poster child of perfect behavior. But, at the end of the day, I think that my team's culture is one of accountability and not blame. - GregDM
Yes i agree the refs have been horrible, they use the excuse that the game is too fast to call everything, or to get the right calls all the time. THats as may be but it's clear that some of those guys out there are either unable to get over certain baised opinions towards certain teams, or are paid to make bad calls that favior a certain team. Lots of the times when a ref calls into HQ asking about a gaol they get overruled in the guys calling the shots make the wrong call. Thats not the refs fault, but they are the ones that get blamed for it. Does anyone remember the oilers kings game and how the crowd reacted to that? Now i'm an oilers fan but those fans that chanted Bull(beep) at the ref needed to be screaming that at the guy in tronto that made the call the ref was just repeating his orders. Having said that it needs to stop maybe they think contraversy is good for the game, but i don't think so. Too many games are won or lost because higher ups can't keep their hands off the game.
Refs have always sucked. Do yiu think the nucks are the first team to get (frank)ed over by poopty officials? And do you think whining about it on hockeybuzz will change anything? No.
So relax, sit back and enjoy what has been an awesome playoff so far - FinAddict
Shut it... you would be whining if your team had 1/3 the powerplays and was swept.... you do realize that out of all the playoff series... only Van vs SJS had such a discrepancy. all the other series no matter the series outcome had very close PP ratios for both teams.

Man, the trolls love to hate....
Ian could say...."Team X is the most amazing team in the NHL and deserve to win the Cup with the plethora of talent on the roster..."
And people from that team would come in and start spouting off about diving, cheating, riots, no cups, Luongo sucks etc....
Canuck-haters are the classiest bunch aren't they???? Give me something new and original or just go away, I want my trolls to at least be original because intelligent is too much to ask for....

So you're saying that refs don't call the game fairly, but instead they call it on thier like or dis-like for a paticular player? No wonder the NHL is the laughing stock of professional sports.
By far the worst refs in sports including basketball! - bloatedmosquito
Nice to see Blackhawks and Kings fans still enjoy posting in here. Everyone likes a desperate troll.
I think the Canucks need to become squeaky clean like the Kings and Hawks. I don't know how they do it, but not one single player on either of those teams dives or has done anything dirty in their NHL careers. - hankthetank
I don't think anyone said that. Its just funny when canucks/canucks fans get on other teams for diving. Do doughty dive? Hell yeah and it pisses me off. But you don't see me going around getting on other teams for doing it. Its called being a hypocrite.

Many fans of other teams have been trolling the canucks blogs doing exactly this.... Most recently the Sharks.... Who employ the next burrows in Tommy I just got a bump and I act like I have been shot with a gun Wingels.... I mean when have you ever seen a Sedin hit someone and actually floor them lol..
