again. No horse in this race. No matter what I'd say your opinion is set in stone because of the team you cheer for. I'm the same way, try telling me Pacioretty is better than Eberle. Can't be done. Facts won't change my opinion. Because I'm an oilers fan

I was watching the game. This coming from an oiler fan, no horse in this race. TO fans obviously will believe their team deserved it same way BOS fans do.
- TheNugeIsHuge

Corsi also says due to puck posession the Leafs are the 2nd worst team in the NHL behind the Sabres, also says that PK Subban should not be considered for the Norris. Some of it is ridiculous, some of it very true

Bottom line...

Toronto has a lot to be proud of...

Boston dodged a very embarrassing bullet but should never had been in the situation in the first place.

I'm going to bed, not even sure I will sleep since I'm still wound up.

At least there is always next year....just kidding, we don't have a hope in hell next year either!

Objects Thrown on the Ice – In the event that objects are thrown on the ice that interfere with the progress of the game, the Referee shall blow the whistle and stop the play and the puck shall be faced-off at a face-off spot in the zone nearest to the spot where play is stopped. When objects are thrown on the ice during a stoppage in play, including after the scoring of a goal, the Referee shall have announced over the public address system that any further occurrences will result in a bench minor penalty being assessed to the home Team. Articles thrown onto the ice following a special occasion (i.e. hat trick) will not result in a bench minor penalty being assessed. Refer also to Rule 53.6 when spectator interference occurs during a breakaway.

Typical Boston cheat. Imagine Burrows doing that. Game Misconduct, 2 minute bench minor

We were winning 4-1 with 10 to go. Get a (frank)ing clue.

"Score effects" were the Yostian statistic of the game, I would say.

For all the value I put in Corsi myself (which is little).

For sure it was a penalty, so was the Marchand bottle thing. Bruins fans could chime in on stuff the Leafs did but didn't get penalized for though I'm sure so I don't really care lol.
- daeth

Yeah but none to blatant and embarrassing as a thrown water bottle. That's a whole different level of shame.

Ottawa fan here. Statistics are only accurate/relevant insofar as they correspond to observable realities. Good day.
- Mr_Clean

yes but are these realities fair if observed by a fan of a team participating. Find me a BOS fan that thinks TO should have won the series.

Positive Leaf Things This Year

1) Kadri a force at the NHL level
2) Kessel PPG again, more complete player
3) Reimer and Scrivens legit
4) Franson
5) PK ridiculously improved
6) Went from not deserving to be on the same ice with the Bruins last year to being a legit rival...think about that
7) Huge playoff experience
8) Grabbo sucked in regular season, was deranged animal in playoffs
9) I got drunk 7 times in playoffs and girlfriend accepted it as totally cool
10) Tradition established of hot brunette pics on Augello threads after losses
11) We kept our first round pick

gotta wait a year before Kesler should be dealt. Value at an all time low. Worth a lot when he's on his game. Not worth the sky and moon right now.
- TheNugeIsHuge

Yeah, you know for the most part I'm unbiased. Leafs deserved to win...I wish you didn't play the Bruins, because as I have said I like the Leafs.

Also Gardiner was supposed to be a big prospect and after missing most of the season he kicked ass in the playoffs...Colborne acquitted himself well in the playoffs...Lupul missed most of the season and looks like an all-star still

If Boston tries this crap vs any other team that doesn't like crapping the bed in the 3rd period the only thing they will experience is a game 7 blowout loss.

The Leafs gave them the game. I'll say it again.

- daeth

Not to be a sore loser, but Boston isn't going anywhere this year.

They needed to dispatch TO quickly and get some rest. And if Boston runs into the Pens, the refs won't be pulling for them anymore.
