Nobody expected them to make it past 5 games. Making it to 7 is awesome.
- Feeling Glucky?

To be 1-3 down and make game seven shows the character of this team. This wasn't the year for us, but as one of the youngest 3 teams in the league, its up from here

I think either team would beat the winner of Caps-Rangers.

Just my opinon though.

It certainly looked that way, tough to tell.

Easy, tiger. It's a joke. We get it, you're sad because your team just lost. That doesn't give you free license to ban people just because they're anything less than reverent of your team or your opinions.

Me neither, but I'm still proud. You cant let all the good of this season go with the last 20 minutes. The Leafs showed they can compete with the best in the league, they just need a larger veteran presence to lean on to close out games like this. They thought they had it locked down, took their foot off the gas, and lost deservedly for it.

I wouldn't say Boston is the "Best in the league" though

I hope so, but geeze I gotta worry about the psychological affect of a collapse like this.
- Aetherial

they wont let this poop happen again. and maybe we can sign a few more 3rd and 4th liners in the offseason who can actually play, kinda like what the bruins have

I started it. I was kind of laughing and wondering why I was reading a bunch of articles and blogs congratulating the Islanders for losing in 6 in round 1.

I've honestly had enough hockey for the year after watching that tonight. I'm done with the playoffs.

Wow. I know we are on opposite sides of the emotional spectrum Leafers but what a game. Good series. The leafs will be that much tougher next year.

Hard to say.. as far as a team goes... I wouldn't worry. But perhaps a couple individuals (Reimer?) may have a tougher time recovering. Who knows though... I would think it won't be a factor.

#1 Priority would be defence I would say. Phaneuf was gassed all series...eating more minutes than he can handle to be effective imo

I would be happy if it was only a 1 goal lead they blew. But you can't sit there and be happy with the way this went down. We deserved better than to watch them do this to us.
- weirdoh

That's a total non sequitur. I said nothing about being happy tonight.

But when you consider the series as a whole, we have far more to be optimistic about than pessimistic.

We lost because Boston has far more experience than us. This is how you get that experience.

The Habs, Caps, Ducks, and Canucks all lost, too, and they were top seeds. Are we going to start burning our Leafs sweaters because we didn't beat the Bruins? We took them to 7 games and plated them very well.

There was no Stanley Cup team that didn't have to go through disappointment first.
