My God...I was starting to think I was the only one to see this...so relieved someone else does!

Although, credit where credit is due. Letang hasn't missed the net so high and so hard that the opposing team gets a free breakout much lately. Then again, that could be because he's just too busy turning the puck over in the Penguin's defensive zone...

- Kineada

Great... for Eberle right? We need to keep bringing in wingers too because that's clearly the problem. Letang is one of the top defenseman in the league and on a team that's very thin at D. Niskanen can handle those extra minutes!!! I hope GOD is a FA Goalie this offseason because we're going to need him.

I agree with your bolded part but Sens fans keep acting like this is a one way street... I get that the Sens defense and goal-tending is good but the Sens are not nearly as fast as the Isles.... The Isles and Leafs speed scares me... The Sens are not on their level.

Matchups will be a problem for Ottawa in Pittsburgh IMO.... Ideally I think Maclean should try and get the Conacher line out there against the Malkin unit because they are the most prone to turnovers and that line is speedy... but that is going to be tough on the road. Bottom line is one of your top 2 lines is going to have to spend some of their shift defending Crosby's line or Malkin's line and if the Cooke-Sutter-Morrow line can keep playing in a shutdown capacity I like the Pens chances especially if the Sens continue to give up the ridiculous shot totals they did against Montreal.

Anderson is good but if Pittsburgh gets anywhere near 35-40 shots in a regulation game I don't think the Sens stand much of a chance in that game. Anderson will need a .930+ save percentage in this series IMO.

- Yonk1216

Sens fans seem to think they are playing the second coming of Montreal, a team with very limited scoring ability; high end talent and midget like boy structures.

I mean, I get confused to who is better - Plekanec, Bourque, Galchenyuk, Ryder, Gallagher and Desharnais to Crosby, Malkin, Iggy, Neal, Kunitz and Dupes. I don't know ... tough call.

I hope we see a heavy dose of Cooke something tells me karlsson will be a little hesitant to play the puck with him breathing down his neck
- Genev21

Yea he's going to be a huge target this series. I hope to see Kunitz get Timonen hit on Karlsson.

This guy is acting like they are the #1 seed

I'm not even sure why the Pens will even show up they're clearly outclassed by the GREAT #7 seed...

Except somebody better tell Letang that Karlsson is better because I will be willing to bet right now that Letang has a better series.

They we're saving how much better they are for the playoffs because I believe they we're swept in the regular season.

And all of Pittsburgh's forwards are better than any Ottawa forward. There are no ties here.

Amazing how a team that finished 36-12 in the regular season and swept these Senators in three games all the sudden look like chumps. The Islanders provided a better challenge for the Pens than the lowly Canadians did for the seventh-seed. Montreal sucked; the Islanders played hard and did some damage and now Pittsburgh shouldn't show up. Got it.

They had a good series against Montreal who clearly let the Ellar hit get to them. Now it's in their head that they are the favorite but every matchup is different. I'm not going over to Ottawa blog saying my Pens are better because you just never know what will happen. 1) How it will be called. Call it tight should favor Pens. 2) What if Anderson doesn't play like he did against MTL? Then what if Fleury and Vokoun are tough? To many ifs to talk before a series.

Yes, they had a good series against Montreal. Not going to deny that. I remain firm that Montreal also was the weakest two seed in decades. Pittsburgh got pushed a bit by a gritty Islander team with alot of offensive skill and speed and now all the sudden Ottawa is better because they ran over an average Montreal team with little offensive flair? Tough series. Ottawa is better than the Islanders in two categories, but not offensively. Then again, I think we are better than Montreal in every category. Price is just as fragile as Fleury.

Agreed with almost everything here. I don't think any Sens fans think they are the favorites though. They just feel like they have a good shot to do some damage after playing pretty well in the series before. I don't think any would say that the Pens aren't the obvious favorites.

Too many ifs like you said though. Should be great can't wait til tomorrow.

I think this will be a long series. However I was expecting a sweep last series so I would be thrilled if I got them mixed up.

The game at the end didn't have Karlsson. It didn't have Spezza either who will be back at some point. Ottawa was more concerned with getting Matt Cooke than playing that night. They didn't play hockey. That said, when both teams are on the ice and all the heavy hitters are playing, I still favor Pittsburgh, even though Ottawa is better in net and on defense.

Ottawa got in Habs heads. I think it ill be Ottawa who ends up being distracted and start head hunting. They want paybacks for Karlsson.

Did they though? I remember one penelty, and other than that I thought they more or less left him alone. They lost because they were just flat, and were outplayed by the Pens.

and were too busy trying to engage Matt Cooke. I saw the game. Your focus was too much on Cooke. That said, you were outplayed.

Looks like the great 8 can't score against anyone NOT in the Southleast division.

Soooo, 2 seed gone, 3 seed trailing 3-0, 4th seed trailing 4-1.

No sir, I don't like it one bit. If we continue it is possible we see the 8, 7 and 6 seeds. All scared me more than the 2, 3 and 4.

If there's anything the Pens should glean from these other playoff games is no shot is a bad shot. Actually, they should realize that from Orpik's winner. I thought they passed up way too many shots especially since Nabby was giving up such juicy rebounds.
