Need to get younger before they become a force. When Tavares is the vet leader at 24 or 25 is when they will be legit Cup Finalists and hopefully winners.

Not true. You need vets, just better ones.

If you're gonna blame anybody you blame the players for not playing with the same do or die mentality the last 3 games as did they did earlier.

This is the right assessment

Congrats on a great playoff run. You gave the Penguins a real good scare.

what about the Isles signing Ray Emery as a ufa? 21 games and one regulation loss? He's 30 and only made 1.1 mil. I'd sign him and keep Poulin as the backup.

This years goal was to make the playoffs. We accomplished it. Next years goal should be to win a couple of rounds.

I don't think anyone can look at the end result of this season and be angry. Yeah, there were some things I'd have done differently and it would have been awesome to steal a series, but on the whole this season was a big success. Especially with a less than stellar defense and a hot/cold goaltender. This was a building block. Now it's time to get our Jeffersons on and keep movin' on up.

that loss and the fact that they were so close against the NHL's #2 over all seed, will fester and grow inside JT, Hamonic, Martin, and hopefully the rest of them & they will want the post season like a drug, this was just the beginning!

You blaming Boulton for them dropping to the 8th seed? boulton had played against toronto a few games earlier Reasoner didn't play down the stretch at all. So where were all the changes you just mentioned? Bottom line is they clinched and the players let up a little for whatever reason and they finished 8th. Also factor in they played the last 5 games on the road and the loss to philly was the first regulation loss in like a month. No real reason to complain where they finished.
- Vukota

No actually I didn't blame Boulton. I said you "could" blame the coach for changing the personel so much the last few games. Boulton playing back to back games.... yeah he really needed those 3 or 4 shifts. Especially against a Flyers team that was decimated with injuries. That was dumb. Carkner also played both games after not playing for a long time. Guess what.. we lost both of those games.

Leafs and Rags about to advance. If we beat the Pens we could have had a shot at representing the east this year.

Didn't Carkner play in 4 of the 6 playoff games?? Eric Boulton was the reason they scored 2 goals in the last two games. Got it

Feel sorry for Leaf fans... so passionate!!!

Living in the area, I can tell you this loss will crush them for a bit.

The media will have a heyday with this...
