I'm going to say this before I leave tonight. Richards had one goal. Nash had two assists. Stepan had two points. Our captain had 1 goal and 3 points in 7 games. And we still won a series against a quality opponent without our big guys performing like big guys.

Hank was excellent all series. He gave up one iffy goal and one soft goal all series. With the team against the wall he pitches two shutouts. HUGE!!!

The role players many didn't like when they were acquired, Asham, Pyatt, etc., were big tonight. Each did their job and got a goal tonight.

Brassard? What a get!! Zucc was good all series too. Awesome.

I think that CBJ blogger guy is really the mastermind behind that deal...

Great game by the Rangers & Hank with the key 1st period save turning into Asham's opening goal; & TORTS COACHING!!! in the last 2 games especially!!!
RANGERS IN 6 OVER BOSTON because of Hank, of course, and NASH getting his revenge on Boston for that LUKIC hit early in the season!!!

Hank's career numbers vs. Boston: 21-7-2 with 6 shutouts & a 1.67 GAA

I did what I could. As objective as I could. I can only expect a little credit. No more.

That Caps team is a very good team. That is a big, big series win by a team that is starting to play well at the right time. Should be a war against the Bruins.

if we kept them under control we should be able to keep boston under control....but, boston is strong defensively...again though, Hank with the edge over Rask...

I agree. This was the only game Holtby was less than very good. And the Rangers shut out Ovi over the last five games? Huge. Hank with two shutouts with the Rangers backs against the wall. Tremendous play by King Henrik. I am Norwegian (like Zucc) but I bow before the Swede tonight. That's my King Henrik!!!!!

I said after game two that in these series all you need is for one guy to get hot and carry you to a series win. Brassard was that guy on the offense for us next series it could be somebody else. Hank is always hank
