congrats on the win. Totorellas system really works. Capitals are an offensive team and they have been limited to one or zero goals a game

thanks

it works when the players execute and establish that forecheck. his system relies a lot on just keeping the puck out of our zone by chipping it out of the zone or dumping and chasing or establishing the forecheck, which they finally were able to do. in the previous games, they'd shoot the puck around the boards to try to clear it but the caps would keep it in, or the dump and chases would be one and done with no forecheck.

i think torts also adjusted a bit to the caps in terms of how they'd shoot from the point to score on deflections or rebounds. i noticed the rangers players stepping up more on the dmen at the point instead of collapsing as much.

I'd be happy for both the Isle and Luongo if that happened. But I'm not sure they can afford 2 billion dollars in goalies.

A. The Islanders have over 20 mill in Cap room despite Dp contract everyone NOT an Islander fan seems so worried about.l
B. This year's UFA goaltender list is stacked with talent. We are one of few teams with the cap room to pull the trigger..
C. That said.. why would we trade for and take on Luongo's contract when u could sign Backstom, Mike Smith, Tim Thomas... etc. ?

Panthers have to overspend for sub par players because no one wants to play for a losing organization. I disagree that you think the difference is you build through the draft. Panthers have the best prospect pool in the NHL and still continue to build through the draft. THE MAIN DIFFERENCE is that the Islanders draft NHL players and we draft bums.

I works when u get 5 power plays and the other team gets none. It works when you get 2 minute 5-3 power plays and the other team gets none. You have one of the best goalies in the leauge... but you are clearly getting out played in this series.
