If Boston gets all four lines rolling they have a definite chance

Agreed Ek! The Pens have neither the defense nor the goaltending to win a cup. They could get there though.

If the Senators take out the Pens, it will be a short and incredibly physical series.

Pittsburg is built for regular season. They have not done very much in playoffs for a bunch of years. Islanders will give them a good game tonight. If Islanders win tonight, Tavares and Co. will finish the job in game 7.

Yes. Any team from the East can win the cup. Any team from the west can win the cup. I thought we had this figured out already?

So this is where it has come to....

How screwed up the nhl ( no longer capitalized) is....

3 Hart candidates --- never mind 1 missed 1/3 of the season, never mind another took 1/3rd of the season off and never mind the third only barely scraped into the top 8 --- all from the east....

And now there is no Eastern contender?

That's a fine howdy-dooo.

How much more is Kane, how much more did he lead to his team to success, how much more can Chicago take these eastern teams, put a dress on them, call them Shirley and take them out to a nice light meal followed by wine and then play some 'high sticking'?

The NHL has a special quality of stupid this year.

Couldn't have said it better myself. East coast bias is shown in bright neon lights

You'd pick Corey Crawford and Ray Emery over the Penguins offense? That's laughable. No Western team has had to deal with Malkin-Crosby this year. The best tandem in the West is Kane-Toews, so Chicago hasn't even come close to playing anyone with Pittsburgh's talent. With consistent goaltending the Pens will roll over anyone.

Pointless. Every team left can run into a series where there are weaknesses exposed. Predicting the playoffs is next to impossible. Teams can change the way they look from series to series. The Islanders, with the terrible goaltending so far, could run hot the rest of the way and win it. The Kings and Chicago can hit a series where they barely pull it off and next thing you know everyone starts doubting them. Playoffs.. anything can happen.

Pittsburgh hasn't seen anything close to Chicago's team defense and puck possession.

Shocking, coming from a flyers fan. EK will take any opportunity to take a shot at the pens.

Any team can win. One could argue that is better to be challenged in the first round rather than coast through the round against a horrible team and then sit for a week.

Although it is hard to repeat, that is with a short summer layoff, but the shortened season will make the Kings and Quick into favorites now that they are finished with round 1.

Besides Quick, the West has great goaltending in Niemi, Howard and ANA etc.

The West teams did not do the trade deadline makeovers that NYR and PITT did.

In the East I would give to anyone with the goaltending right now, BOS, OTT, NYR or WAS to make it to the finals.
