Orpik knows better than that, he can't go back there like that.

Kuni and Duper must miss each other because both of them look like dog poop.

Malkin's line spends the whole shift in their own zone.

Unbelievable. Play with some (frank)ing consistency. It blows my mind how this team can play lock down one game and then just stop. Why is Malkin skating like he has weights on his feet. No one can win a damn board battle. Where the hell is the urgency. Even if they win this game, it doesn't erase the fact that they have played like poop for about half of this series

Vokoun might be feeling like he's back playing for the Panthers. So many shots we are giving up.
- Orpik44

The hell with the Panthers, Vokoun is going to feel like MAF if the Pens continue to skate like this. Watching the other playoff series, I really question whether this team can skate with any of the remaining teams. I just don't get it because we looked like a fast team through the regular season.

I wish Bylsma, Crosby, Vokoun or someone would just scream at Malkin and tell him to wake his ass up. Hell, I wish someone would scream at Bylsma to wake his ass up

Terrible period. The theme continues. We haven't played a good period outside of the shutouts. That second goal was on Orpik. Better strap it on boys. Something tells me the Islanders will get a call first in the second and go on the power play.

Why can't we manufacture more quality shots against a suspect defense like the Islanders? It baffles me. There simply is either a lack of interest or no urgency.

im very disappointed in the malkin line. the fourth seems to be doing its thing, the first has had a couple of chances. but man, the malkin line touches the puck maybe twice per shift

They are getting extremely out worked every where on the ice. Islanders dump it in, chase the puck, and win the battles. Pens dump it in, they chase (half-assly), and get bumped off the puck and the isle break it out.

I know the stats for Malkin says 2 goals, 7 assists and 9 points for 5.1 games. However, if he got his ass going and played like he should, we wouldn't be playing this game tonight. We would be resting for Ottawa.

I hate to say it, but you could see it coming a bit earlier.

There are some very easy decisions as far as free agents that need to be signed or discarded as far as I see it in these play-offs.

Malkin is doing a hell of a Derek Roy impression this series. Stat sheet hero, awful in every other aspect

Yup, I really wanted that period to end sooner.

Well, they woke up in the second period in the last game. Hopefully they do the same tonight.

I'm certain Malkin is hurt and nursing an injury, it would explain the lack of hustle and aversion to contact

So John wrote about this earlier, but how far do the pens have to go for Bylsma to keep his job next year, or at least not be on the hot seat

Trading Malkin for Backes and Halak doesn't sound like a bad idea heh
