Your honestly telling me that at the end of Jensen's career he is a good player but not quite at Rick Nash level he will be a disappointment ???
- Redmile247

If he ends up being a disappointment and is only good for 30-40 goals/year then people will be pretty upset. He was drafted to be the next face of the Canucks, maybe even of the NHL. Modest projections have him being a big body that can put up 40 goals and dominate physically. There's a reason we're all very excited to have this guy.

Okay... Just looked into what it takes to buy out Luongo...

$1.5 million for 18years. That's a no brainer. Peanuts. It'll be more than made up for by the unjustified 3-5% rise in ticket prices.

The Aqualini family is actually SAVING over $5 million dollars a year for the next 5 years doing it this way.

No he specifically was talking about moving both and Botch said he has thought about that too. We don't know what the injury to CS was.
- VANTEL

CS said himself that it was a groin during player exit interviews.

Should we trade Edler to Dallas for Aaron Rome? Maybe this will help AV want to stay

If he is capable of being that... Then how did he fall to... What ... 29th in the first round ... Seems unlikely ... But I guess if every other gm drafts highschool players like feaster it could happen lol ( figured I better put that one out there before someone else did )

What round was Messier drafted in? Or Lidstrom? Datsyuk?
Jensen is going to be the next big draft day steal.

A team like Pitt might look at it. Here is a wild thought . Lou Schneides Kesler for Voukun Fluery Malkin (UFA next year ) and Despres . Malkin may want to be the #1 and not re-sign with Pitts.

Could've done the usual "lower/upper body" BS or just declined to comment. I don't think there's ever been a case where a player lied about injuries after the season is over.

Dude, players fall all of the time. He's also from Denmark which probably had a few GM's a little weary of admitting that he's a great talent and has tremendous upside. Teams like Calgary are going to regret not drafting him, how many teams could use a first line sniper with good size and speed?

Clearly you don't follow Canucks prospects very closely, but his numbers don't tell the whole story. He's bene accused of not trying hard enough in junior for many games, same story in Sweden and the AHL, probably because he realizes that it's only a matter of time that he'll get a shot to make the top 6 in Vancouver as soon as next year because of the cap situation. Maybe we're exaggerating the Nash stuff, but he's definitely going to be a star in this league if he gives the effort.

I've heard a lot about the kid , but never the praise of being a star ... I don't doubt the kid may be able to put points up eventually ... But I also don't doubt that he may end up just a good second line guy ... Especially if he has issues with trying all the time ... Guess in the next few years we will find out just how good he may be

You should read up on Jensen. When he was 9 years old in Denmark he played in a men's league and was the leading scorer. Everyone knew he was going to be something special. He's finally filling his frame out which will allow him to physically dominate the opponent. Gillis has told coach's in Sweden and in Chicago to limit his ice time to avoid any injuries which is why he hasn't been able to light it up.
