Jensen will be way better than Nash. - hankthetank
No doubt, the Rick Nash comparison is a slap in the face to Jensen. That's worst case scenario for him. |

Haha if you can get any of the bottom 3 done you should be gillis' replacement - Redmile247
Islanders trade looks pretty damn good for them. Nino hasn't done poop at the NHL level(I believe he also played on a pretty stacked Portland team in junior), not every prospect lives up to expectations. I'd trade a prospect for a young NHL player anyday. He does have a cool name though, something tells me that he'd be just a little less intriguing if his name was Mike Johnson. |

Luongo will be traded for scraps or bought out. Go back and look at the Save% leaders for the past 3 years. Schneider's been ahead of Luongo every year, and Luongo's getting progressively worse. Schneider's ENTERING his prime... Luongo spent his prime choking every single season. It's a no brainer who should be kept... and like I said a looooong time ago, people can't expect a big return for Luongo. Just be happy to get him off the books. - DrChristianTroy
Lu does not want to be here and Gillis sayd he doubts Lu will be here next year. I agree.
Elliott Friedman suggested that him an a few insiders would not be surprised if both goalies are gone. |

wow. If Lack had played all year and kicked the AHL's ass, this wouldn't be unthinkable... But he didn't. |

It was on Mondays edition when he called into the 1040 with Scotty and Botch . He said there is rumblings but nothing concrete |

Jensen is going to be an amazing player. Comparing him to Rick Nash is Jensen's floor. His ceiling is a franchise winger, which most expect he will be. |

I don't doubt he will be a good player one day ... But to say at worst he is Rick Nash and at best a franchise winger ? That's overkill ... Maybe if he was a first overall and killed it in junior and in the ahl ... Then I could see him being described that way |

I highly doubt it, what would be more realistic is that he's open to dealing either goalie, not both. |

A team like Pitt might look at it. Here is a wild thought . Lou Schneides Kesler for Voukun Fluery Malkin (UFA next year ) and Despres . Malkin may want to be the #1 and not re-sign with Pitts. |

No he specifically was talking about moving both and Botch said he has thought about that too. We don't know what the injury to CS was. |

OUCH! I say the Canucks get rid of their dead weight in Ballard and Booth. They have to take anything they can get for Luongo. Im guessing its going to be a pick/prospect package but who knows, they are not in a position of power to trade w/ any GM.
Then the real gutting of the team begins here:
-Keep the defense where it stands minus Ballard. They are a solid core to surround Schneider.
-Since it is nearly impossible to deal out the Sedins' and VAN is stuck with them until their contracts expire or they retire with the team, my guess is the latter. They should and will have to explore trading Kesler if they can get him to waive his NTC. I know he's the best player on your team but he carries the most value. His playing style is not going to last very long and its best to get something for him while you can.
An ideal candidate would be CBJ or TOR, they lack a quality centerman and would pay a hefty price tag to get one. Need I remind you that CBJ also has three 1st round picks in this upcoming draft. For Kesler going to Ohio, he would be gettng closer to home.
-Time to ship out Burrows, sure he 's a solid goal scorer but the antics are tiresome. He could fetch a decent return. Plus he's an aging goal scorer and that contract will look bad in two years.
This sure looks like a rebuild doesn't it? Well it is!! But I think its a quick rebuild since the hard part of it is completed (Goal/defense). Probably a 2-3 year rebuild while gaining potential top 10 picks/prospects and more importantly undergoing a culture change. It's not as bad as it looks, but if the Canucks want to be stale and booted out of the first round or barely miss the playoffs they should stay the course. |

Better, Jensen hits every blue moon, Nash hits the deli every day. |
