first off lindy wont be coaching in the nhl next season. I think his nhl days are done. he'll land in the ahl or in juniors somewhere. second, james Patrick was the only decent thing in the buffalo organization (miller and vanek aside) and they stuck it right up his @$$ on the way out. BUT none of that matters because this team is going to be terrible, and I mean like islanders terrible for the next 5-7yrs. teams are going to look forward to playing the sabres for a guaranteed 2 points. brace yourselves fans, and remember to buy your season tickets like good little minions

really??? Around the league Lindy is considered one of the best coaches in the game, just wore out his welcome here. He will coach in the NHL again if he wants to.

Which I don't get. Sure Lindy is probably a good coach. But he's never won a cup and has missed the playoffs how many times out of 16 years? I can't remember a team under him that over achieved, except for '99 but that had a lot to do with our goalie.

The Sabres lost me when they fired Lindy Ruff but not Darcy Regier. They kept the wrong guy. Actually, they lost me when they let Chris Drury and Danny Briere go ... for nothing. Again they kept the wrong guy.

He does, or after today, I should say did, have a source. He has given accurate info in the past, moreso than Garth, that's for sure. Sounds to me his source got the axe, not hard to figure it out.
