hmm didnt realize that. Kaberle it is. i don't think DD has trade value but i don't think they can buy him out BEFORE his contract even kicks in. - scotch_tape
even if they could I hardly see any GM in his right mind doing this. |

after Subban in terms of players who eat up minutes (and unlike Markov are reliable(ish) on D) we have no one to replace Gorges, so the trade would have to be for equal value (pointless) or they'd have to have signed someone first - Habitants98
priority no. 1 of the summer has to be a top-4 D with some size/edge. our defence is ridiculously soft. |

How much cap space do they have to sign a good D AND sign a top 6 winger to replace Ryder? |

i wonder about that, i mean the pace of a condensed season is crazy and many back to back games nobody seems to ever put that into account, they just look at the fact there's less games in total
its like a tournament vs a season...the season is not necessarily more tiring than the tourny just because there's more games in a longer timeframe |

I did not find the schedule to be that condensed. They still mostly played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. |

Sent an email this morning to a client...When he calls me, we always talk about the Habs.
He calls me Alex Galchenyuk all the time, so just for fun, I changed my email signature.
He just transferred my email to his client (UQAM), and put me in CC, and I can see my "Alex Galchenyuk" signature

since the Sharks were willing to try out Gomez, maybe the habs can sucker them into taking DD for say...Jason Demers (fits all the criteria in MTL, French, over 6' D, also right handed shot not named Webber) (sharks didnt use him much this year) |

22-25 is more likely. Someone posted the breakdown a page or two ago, I think. - kev1586
1 through 14 already determined by non-PO teams.
The worst Montreal can do is 22, assuming they have the best reg. season record of first-round series losers. At least that's how I think it works... |

still tho some players need a full season including a full pre-season to really get into season form, they can't all be the Black Stallion...aka Subban |
