- dt99999

True.

#27 should be a nice decent player down the road.

One thing is for sure, some bodies will be moved unless they expect different results from the same group next season...

yeah... considering the only run they've been no was when he wasn't playing... eesh
- dt99999

I think he's only got one series victory where he started all the games.

A big, not little girl-ish Tomas Plekanec with Andrei Kostitsyn's shot.

Montreal's available for trade list?

Desharnais
Moen
Gionta
Markov
Gorges
Plekanec (high price though)

I'm kinda secretely(not really but...) hoping for another suck year coming up. Gionta, Markov, Moen could all fetch a decent to nice return as deadline pick-ups.

I wouldn't mind seeing a top notch winger playing with Plek.

I think he showed in the series that he's ready for more ice time. I think they play him on line 1 as a winger next year, let him get used to the minutes without the responsabilities. Until they can move Desharnais.

I think Bergevin will try. I think with the amount of teams that need to shed salary, it will be hard to almost impossible to do this though.

Or a top notch winger playing with Eller because Plekanec's been traded.

I don't mind Desharnais on the 3rd line if the first two lines are reliable defensively.

Will Habs really draft 26th? Is that true?

Where do you play Eller?

I'd still rather see him traded. Or with the Bulldogs.

Galchenyuk
Gallagher
Pacioretty
Subban
Emelin (well, maybe not, but if he's traded the replacement's better be good)
Eller

Are the only untouchables IMO

Yes Howard, Eller's up there.

Yes. Well, except if the Pens or Ducks are eliminated.

Maybe we would still be playing... just sayin'
- WaterBoy

is what i was thinking at the dealine too, but in the long run, if you're rebuilding commit to it, and that includes keeping as many of your picks as possible, and not being forver in limbo like the Flames or leafs

its only the first year of this 'rebuild' and a half season at that, it was a smarter move in the end on MB's part to let this team play as is (relatively) and see what needs to be done

22-25 is more likely. Someone posted the breakdown a page or two ago, I think.

I'll never understand why I consistently see Plekanek's name in trade conversations on here.

Never complains about his role, consistently gives 100%. One of the best two way defensive forwards in the game IMO.

I'd add Tinordi to that list. Will likely never develop into a top-pairing guy but if the idea is to make the team bigger and tougher to play against.
