Bourque was the Habs' best forward, by far. - _nay_
Bergevin got a good indication of who can perform when needed. Apart from those who were injured, a lot of guys didn't raise their level of play. |

i hope Desharnais is sent packing. what a brutal signing that could end up being. - scotch_tape
He is painful to watch. The smurf era needs to stop.
Enough with Gionta. The hell with Dumont. |

Getting rid of the Cole contract was a good move.
Getting good production from Ryder AND a 3rd pick was good.
That said, no way he re-signs here this summer. - Not_Yan

it's all well and good to be a great transition team, as Montreal is, but if you rely on transition to score the bulk of your goals in the playoffs as we just found out, you're (frank)ed. |

Pacioretty = Latendresse
Price = Fleury
Desharnais = Gomez
Moen = Czerkawski
His signings aren't looking too good right now. |

if that was a direction they wanted to move away from, i don't think they would have signed DD long term and re-upped Bouillon with Plekanec and Gallagher aready here long term. i hope i'm wrong but i don't see an aversion to small players on Bergevin's part. |

DD/Cole/Patches should have been kept together..I know it was nice getting rid of Coles contract...but he is a good player...20 game rough patch at the beginning. I'm sure if Therrien/Bergeron sat down and pretended to care about him they could have got him rolling again IMO - he has way more upside then Ryder - more physical - goes to the net - easy for me to say now that the season is over...but I believed that when the trade went down. Unless him and Subban didn't see eye to eye than the traded need to be done. |

Breakdown of this series:
Game 1: Anderson > Price
Game 2: Habs win
Game 3: MacLean > Therrien
Game 4:
Game 5: Posts+Momentum > Habs
Many Habs players deserved a better outcome for 3 of those loses I think but at some point, if you keep playing the coach's faves without taking into account who is actually playing well, you're going to get caught. coughcoughtravismoencough. - kev1586

czerkowski was supposed to be a top 6. Moen should be a 4th liner. Unfortunately, he's forgotten what made him a good 4th liner.
DD
Price can still develop. Fleury has always sucked
Pac, man I hope he needs surgery |

Nothing against Bouillon as he doesn't play 'small' - same with Gallagher
Plekanec deserves better support. |

wonder if at some point next year they start slowly moving Galchenyuk to center. Still think he's a bit young but it would be nice to have a bigger body there at least sometimes. |

Plek vanishes when the going gets tough. I'm starting to become more okay with trading him... |

yeah he has a tendency to disappear but I think he's once of those guys who always could have been one of the top-5 2nd line centers in the league but too small to be a first line center and DEFINITELY too small to be the 2nd line center behind David Desharnais.
The habs' problem imo is the same as it's been for almost 2 decades and it comes down to size down the middle. |
