Montreal has built a good foundation. They have not thought about playoffs in their player development decisions. Prust was signed last year to provide support for a young developing team. Consideration was not given to the kind of depth needed to face a big team like Ottawa in the first round. And, there was no reason for Bergevin to worry about the first round as they had finished in 15th place.
This summer they have a chance to think beyond just getting out of a bottom position. They can look at what do they need to do to supplement some of the very good talent on their roster. - spatso
Sounds about right. |

lol you guys lost to a gritty, relentless team who has rallied from injuries to their star players all year and are now slightly healthy.

Leafs would have disposed of the Sens easily. |

Seriously, they were a team I didn't want to play (as well as Boston for obvious reasons), they have that "team of destiny" bullpoop going on |

I think so too, the matchup wasn't there, just like I think the Leafs would have disposed of the Habs.
for some reason though Ottawa plays Boston pretty good.
I think they actually have a chance to beat Pittsburgh if Anderson keeps playing like this and Pittsburgh's goalies can't figure it out. |

Now that they let Fleury sit on the bench, they should be much better.
It's like every shot on net was going right through him.
Kinda like what we saw wit...

I wonder if Vokoun can string some consecutive good games together. if he doesn't they're in a whole world of vancouverish trouble although I bet you when the poop hits the fan Sid can play net s and be better than either of them |

Many Habs players deserved a better outcome for 3 of those loses I think but at some point, if you keep playing the coach's faves without taking into account who is actually playing well, you're going to get caught. coughcoughtravismoencough. |

This HB day will simply be an orgy of bumholes like systemtool/keatondixon/prock/etc. rubbing it in the face of Habs fans, instead of doing something with their pathetic life and car about their pathetic team. - Not_Yan
BeFORE the do that, the should take a SWING at having a life. That way the could have a BALL instead of being an a-HOLE. That way you guys won't feel like CLUBbing them.

Habs seriously missed Emelin - the habs being a smaller team on D they needed his bigger body for the board battles. Too bad he got injured a day after the deadline or maybe they could have picked somebody up...not sure if there was anybody available that would have helped as much as Emelin.

Yeah, the Habs missed Emelin more than the Sens missed Karlsson. They will have to do something about that this summer. |
