lidstrom didnt give the puck away every third time he had it - Dozzer
Gardiner folks, GOD, arguably our best defender this series along with franson, every other defender can go F themselves, EDIT: Gunner can be added to having good games too thats about it |

Everyone who blames phaneuf for last nights ending is dreaming. His intention was to make a hit to keep the puck in bostons zone. Obyrne did not attack for the puck he just kept backing up till he finally shot the puck, a weak shot that squeaked past reimer which he should of had, really soft goal.
Another thing was all game, even before overtime, the leafs lost majority of faceoffs practically all of them i saw they lost in bostons zone. If it was on powerplay bozak would always lose it and chara keeps dumping it out. If it was regular time same sh!t Boston has more depth at center, we dont even have a true number one centerman and if anyone thinks bozak is a 1st line centerman go bury your head in the ground. 1 POINT IN 4 GAMES, LOST ALL FACEOFFS IN BOSTONS ZONE, so much for this "faceoff specialist". If the leafs actually (frank)ing won a faceoff in their zone, they probably could of registered more goals and set up a play to get one not making us go to overtime - Mapleleafs_91
So instead of the guy who pinched and tried to make an ill-conceived hit resulting in a 2-1 and ultimately the OT winner, you're blaming the guy who lost a bunch of faceoffs throughout the game?
I'm not pinning this one on Phaneuf, there were a lot of factors that caused the Leafs to lose this game, but Phaneuf playing 30+ minutes out there when he was ineffective the whole game is the major cause in my opinion. |

Perhaps, but he's a #6, what do you expect? It could have been Luke Schenn getting caught flat footed a billion times, and not being able to fight if needed. - 1979AD
Really...Frasor has done a fine job for what is expected. We have to have 6 Lidsrtoms or the leafs suck

not really, alot of 18-19 year olds are playing, who gives a poop, hes going to be our future 1st line pairing for D and powerplay, might as well make a start better than having Obyrne or Fraser in, and i agree with liles but he hasnt really brought anything to the table since his specialty is offense no? |

I think once the emotion wears off. It really boils down to a hard fought game, and someone had to lose. Bruins were more composed, and made a few less errors.
Dion had a brain fart or two, and Bozie lost his fair share of draws, but one bounce one way or another and that's a different outcome and everyone is on here blowing the leafs today. |

Dude, we had so many powerplays and chances in their zone, yet we cant even win a faceoff in their zone. Thats pathetic |

I think its tough to sit Fraser. He defiitely got beat a few times, but overall is a really steady defenseman and has played as such during most of it not all of the season.
Obyrne has been getting torched all series when he has been in, so I guess you could make the arguement for Rielly and if it doens't work out sit him as you would Obyrne anyways.
But i don't knwo if throwing him in the middle of a series is the best way to go about it. If Rielly was an option that decision had to be made a while ago |

Absolutely - so many good chances in the 3rd and OT for the Leafs. If one went in, this series would pull a 180. Also (and this isn't an excuse, it happens, but it still sucks), both PP's the B's scored on were very questionable calls. Orr was protecting his head with Chara crashing in on him and gets called for elbowing? Komarov's charge was BS too. |

Suggesting that an 18-year-old kid who looks like a deer in the headlights at the AHL level should be thrown into an elimination game in the NHL should be a bannable offense.

Rielly is having a hard time just keeping up to the pace in the AHL, I'm so confident he goes back to junior next year that I won't use my customary "I think he will..." line. |

So lets throw the 18 year old kid, into the middle of the playoffs against grown men and some of the meanest hardest hitting guys in the league.
Ill start writing his obituary. |

Dion and Franson couldn't gain the zone or get the PP set up all game. That was equally pathetic. |

How are they suppose to when we cant win a faceoff to start that off and chara just dumps the puck wasting majority of our powerplay |
