your right the leafs didn't beat themselves the ref's totally helped the Bruins.

Nice penalty's my (frank)ing mom could have called a better game.

Good luck Bruin fans - Now (frank) OFF

- Garnie

This. The cup is heading West again.

Any of the 4 teams that advance to the second round in the West could beat any of the 4 second round teams from the East.

- Leeman4Gilmour

And vice versa, IMHO. Hawks might be the most complete team out there and I'd pick them to win it all but Sharks, Ducks, and Kings are all just as beatable as the B's, and Pens.

In fact, if Vokoun plays well Pittsburgh should be one of the favourites.

I can't see ANY team in the East winning it this year TBH.
- markmark

That's what burns my chili most about last night's loss.

I don't fear any other team in the East right now. I'm not saying the Leafs would beat all of them - just that I think we would have a pretty good chance against any of them.

Boston was the worst matchup.

Stupid Habs.

Stupid Leafs.

I think you're underestimating the B's. That teams built for the playoffs. They coughed up some leads in the reg season but I think they were in cruise mode all of April.
- The Law

Some of the things I've noticed about the B's that I find interesting:

1) Jagr without the offensive skill he had around him in Philly seems to have made him lose a step. He still protects the puck well but gets beat a lot more than I remember.

2) The lower pairing D can end up on top of each other when pressed with speed.

Just some things I think a real contender can exploit.

i'm thinking more Lundqvist. and i also think JT is the best coach in the league after Babcock.
- scotch_tape

Paul MacLean disagrees.

And I'd never discount Tippett, Hitchcock, or Trotz.

Tortorella is the type of guy who gives his players a temporary boost, but he's got a short shelf life.

I'm surprised the players (player) hasn't punched him out.

He's useless - sorry but my feelings

Going into the series, I was terrified of Jagr.

He's now the least of my worries.

This. Boston is the most difficult matchup.

We could beat any other team in the East, except the Pens. But even the Pens would be a good series.

There's so much good hockey we're missing if we get eliminated in the first round.

JT is the best coach in the league after Babcock? The Only thing JT is the best coach at is crying after Ranger loses and making himself look like a idiot. The team didn't even meet expectations this year.

Just off the top of my head I would put Paul Maclean and Joel Q above JT.

I thought the Bruins depth would be the death of us. It turns out that our depth matches up just as well as theirs.

I'm wondering if Carlyle should go with a shadow checking line for Krejci et al. Corson covering Yashin a decade ago was a thing of beauty.

I'm sure you watched the game. Not saying we would have won.

Those calls are a little suspect - Orr elbow? Same shift Bruin 2 hands a stick in 1/2

Boston's 2nd goal buddy hammers our guy from behind and the puck goes in.

And i'm (frank)ing bitter too....that doesn't help

Honestly, I saw very little of the game. Suffice it to say, officiating has been lousy all around.

We don't have that kind of personnel on this team to do that and if we shut down the Krecji line just means the Seguin line would probably start going.

At a boy. But, at a boy. Way to stand behind your team. Wish I felt the same to be honest.
