-- If New York finds a way to win Game 5, pressure will increase on the Islanders. They haven’t dealt with any pressure against a prohibitive favorite thus far, but questions will be asked if a group of players who’ve never collectively won before can seal the deal on a playoff series.
Really,....simply facing the Pens line up is pressure...losing game one 5 to 0 and falling behind a few times in other games for this inexperienced group is pressure... Vokoun will get the win, he kills us all the time....proud of this team, they are on the rise and at least competing now after a long long time...Pens will flex some muscle tonight I'm sure...should still bea great game.....Go Isles - Nolanders
Very humble, most of us Penguin fans are a little wary. We've been to this show too many times to think anything will come easy in the playoffs.
I would love to see the team defense that gave up 11 goals in 9 games. Oddly enough I see an NHL 13 team that looks like its controlled by monkeys with gloves on.

What's up everyone? What are the lines for tonight?
Unfortunately I won't be able to watch this game (girlfriend's birthday) but I'm very confident in a good win.
Good luck to all of you! Pens 4-2 |

Rushes were:
Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis
Neal-Malkin-Iginla
Morrow-Sutter-Cooke
Adams-Vitale-Kennedy
Glass-Jokinen-Bennett
(Jeffrey)
Orpik-Martin
Murray-Niskanen
Despres-Letang
Eaton-Engelland
(Bortuzzo)
PP 1: Letang, Iginla, Crosby, Malkin, Kunitz/Neal
PP 2: Niskanen, Martin, Dupuis, Kennedy, Morrow
So, Vitale, TK, and Despres likely in, Glass, Jokinen, and Eaton likely out. Iggy back on RW. |

So since Jussi was aquired by the Pens, he was arguably the most productive player. Now he's being scratched for Vitale who hasnt played in months, and TK? |

Yeah, but according to the blog he just slightly pushed him barely making contact. |

I honestly didn't notice it until I saw someone point it out and post a video of it. It seemed like the ref thought Letang skated into him, which is why the ref didn't call anything. You could see the ref turn to Letang like "oops I didn't see you there", but Letang kind of looked sketchy doing it. Not sure what was going on in his head |

sammy, at least we'll see some speed & forecheck in the same line, something we haven't seen this series. Kennedy and Vitale are warriors. I'd love to see Jokinen out there but unfortunately someone has to sit.
Why Eaton is being scratched? I don't get it.. |

Thanks kill! I'd still would want to see Eaton & Jokinen on this lineup.
I'm glad to see Iggy playing RW but he'd be better on a line with Sid. Anyway..

Not really... I guess the officials didn't call it, so if they didn't care, the league likely wouldn't have.
If you watch it, the linesman was skating away, so I wonder how much of it he even felt if at all. Just by Letang's follow through it looked like he didn't even make contact and got all air. A different angle would be helpful.
That said, what a moronic thing to do from someone who has done some moronic things in his career. |

Seriously...When Letang is out, I think the team is far more noticable worse than when Sid or Malkin are. I think despite all the stupid plays he makes, he's still a fine D man who makes incredible plays. He's gotta be better, the Pens cant afford to lose him. |

I agree with everything you just said. I find Eaton being scratched particularly perplexing. |

From what I've "read". They say it's up to the Linesman\Ref's discretion, if they think it's warranted they will let the league know. |

ya...seemed borderline insane considering he is much needed...
this is the rule...per deadspin...
40.1 Game Misconduct - Any player who deliberately applies physical force in any manner against an official (Yes.), in any manner attempts to injure an official (No.), physically demeans (Maybe?), or deliberately applies physical force to an official solely for the purpose of getting free of such an official during or immediately following an altercation (Big Yes.) shall receive a game misconduct penalty. In addition, the following (40.2, 40.3, 40.4) disciplinary penalties shall apply.

Trust me, I don't want to miss this game but I'll have to since I'm going to a dinner with my father and mother-in-law ....I'll be on my cell phone checking the score, occasionally. |

I think he should've gotten something. He stopped, identified the individual as an official, and deliberately threw a little cross check at him.

You can see he was really frustrated when the ref held his arm....dumb move by #58. For this reason alone, he should lose $1M/year on his new contract |
